Kid-friendly oven chicken spot near Gaenari Park, Dongtan: Fix Chicken

Today I'm sharing a review of Fix Chicken, my go-to chicken place right by my house!

This isn't my first time — this is my nth visit, from family dinners to work get-togethers! First off, the chicken is delicious haha (my husband and coworkers agree too). The restaurant is spacious and clean, great for going with kids and great for staff dinners too — a Central Park, Gaenari Park spot I recommend big time!

Fix Chicken Dongtan Central Park Branch: hours, parking and corkage

Fix Chicken Dongtan Central Park Branch is open 15:00(15:30)–22:00(23:00). Check Naver for exact hours before you go!

Parking: 3 spots in front of the restaurant, plus a nearby lot or the parking tower right outside.

Corkage, excluding drinks sold in-store, is ₩6,000 per bottle for wine (no limit on bottles) and ₩3,000 per bottle for other drinks (no limit). ※ Based on 360ml soju / 500ml beer, ₩3,000 per bottle. E.g. 700ml whisky = 6 soju bottles.

There's room for about 5 cars out front! I visited around 6pm on a Friday, and the lot was full, with two or three tables occupied.

How big is Fix Chicken inside? Large screen and tables for 10 or more

The inside of Fix Chicken Dongtan Central Park Branch is spacious haha. In the back, you can push tables together for 10+ people, so it totally works for staff dinners too haha. I recently came here with coworkers for chicken and beer, and both the taste and service were fully satisfying haha.

There's a big screen right in the center, so during soccer or baseball season it's perfect for coming as a group to watch the game with chicken and beer haha.

Partitioned four-person booth: is Fix Chicken good with a 5-year-old?

We came with our 5-year-old and sat at the four-person seating along the wall! Small detail but haha, the chairs were comfortable and cushioned enough even for a kid. There's a partition on the side too, perfect for seating little ones who like to fidget.

Ordering the Oven Fix Boneless chicken, made with 100% chicken thigh

Fix Chicken has a huge variety of chicken. Since we were eating with our kid — and maybe dieting? — we went with the oven-baked boneless chicken and draft beer!

It's a full 100% chicken thigh meat... haha I don't like dry breast meat, so I'm a thigh meat lover ❤️

Complimentary sides at Fix Chicken: ppeongtwigi and tteokbokki

The basic table setting is ppeongtwigi (puffed rice snack) and tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes). The ppeongtwigi has a light sugar coating on the outside for sweetness, and the tteokbokki is a bit spicy for someone who can't handle spice, but still enjoyably so!

For families with kids, keeping them occupied at the table before the food arrives is basically a war haha — but ours played with the ppeongtwigi and the tongs given for the chicken for ages haha 🐕 win haha.

You can freely grab more ppeongtwigi, pickled radish, sauces, ice, and cups from the self-serve bar! (No extra charge for sauce, which is a nice perk 👍)

How the Fix Lager, Terra and Cass drafts taste

First, two draft beers came out. I ordered Fix Lager draft, my husband ordered Terra draft 🍺🍺

Great foam ratio 👍 The lager draft 🍺 was crisp and fizzy, refreshing enough to quench thirst! The Terra draft had a bitter, fizzy kick!

What comes on the Oven Fix Boneless plate, and how it tastes

Then the chicken comes out haha. The plate includes chicken, tteok-twigim (fried rice cake), pickled radish, salad, salt, and seasoning sauce.

Because it's oven-baked, the chicken is amazingly crispy outside and juicy inside. Personally, I thought it was even more tender than the boneless chicken from the leading oven-chicken franchise!

I never thought to order delivery, but while we were eating in, a lot of delivery riders kept coming in!

Our kid was hungry at dinnertime too — the moment she saw it, she grabbed two or three pieces onto her own plate before starting haha.

Us adults started with the salad first, to avoid a blood sugar spike, then dug in properly. The chicken was indeed tender and chewy, true to thigh meat form. If you look at the gif below, can you see how it wobbles when tender haha.

Meanwhile my husband finished his Terra draft and ordered another Cass draft. Cass, as always, has a clean, refreshing taste~~!! 👍👍👍

Restrooms outside the building, and a walk to Gaenari Park after dinner

Fellow bathroom-info-seekers, you need restaurant restroom info, right...?ㅋㅋㅋ The restroom is outside the building, with men's and women's sections divided within one space. The women's restroom was clean and fairly spacious!

After eating, you can take a walk at the park in the middle of Gaenari Park nearby, or at Central Park — the location is great.
