Where is Pujutgan Saenggogi-jeom and what are its hours?
Pujutgan Saenggogi-jeom (푸줏간생고기점) is a Haengdang-dong pork BBQ restaurant at 24 Haengdang-ro 17-gil, 1st floor, Seongdong-gu, Seoul. It is open Mon–Sat 14:00–24:00 and Sunday 12:00–22:30, and takes reservations and group visits.

This Haengdang-dong pork BBQ spot near Wangsimni Station is only about a 5-minute walk from Exit 10, so it's super easy to get to! It also has over 100 seats, which is great for group gatherings, and the tables are spaced widely so you can eat comfortably!
Pujutgan's exterior and parking
There's space for parking in front of the restaurant! It depends on the situation, though, so asking the restaurant directly is probably the fastest way.

The lettering on the sign alone gives off total great-restaurant vibes.

What grade of pork does Pujutgan serve?
They say they serve only carefully selected grade 1 / 1++ pork and grade 1++ beef!! And there really was a Korean beef grading certificate sitting at the counter, haha. So trustworthy!!

I could also see the meat being kept fresh in a fridge on one side!
Why Pujutgan works for group dinners
What makes Pujutgan ideal for groups is that free corkage and unlimited dessert refills make it incredible value. There were lots of groups inside, and lots of families too! And the reason is... drumroll!!! The unbeatable value, hehehe.
- ⭐Free corkage: Corkage costs nothing, so you can bring your favorite drink and enjoy it freely!!
- ⭐Unlimited dessert refills: When you order meat, cold mul naengmyeon (cold broth noodles), bibim naengmyeon (spicy mixed cold noodles), janchi guksu (banquet noodle soup), nurungji (scorched rice), doenjang stew and kimchi stew are all unlimited! Crazy, right!!!!
If you think free means small portions or poor quality, you couldn't be more wrong... It's seriously delicious;;;
Pujutgan menu and prices
All the pork dishes at Pujutgan are ₩20,000. The prices aren't expensive at all.

I tried four kinds: raw pork belly, pork neck, gabrisal (pork shoulder-loin ridge) and galmaegisal (skirt meat), haha.

It's a Haengdang-dong pork BBQ place where you sizzle your meat on a cauldron lid.
Banchan (side dishes) at Pujutgan

The standard sides at Pujutgan are kimchi, king oyster mushrooms, garlic, lettuce geotjeori (fresh-tossed salad), myeongi namul (pickled wild greens), ssambu (pickled radish wraps) and ssam vegetables.
How do pork belly, neck, gabrisal and skirt meat taste?
The raw pork belly, pork neck, gabrisal and skirt meat are ₩20,000 each, and since it's fresh rather than frozen, the color was different from the start. They also gave us onion and potato, so we grilled them together on the cauldron lid.

Here comes the pork platter I ordered, hehehe. Wow, isn't the color gorgeous? It's fresh, not frozen, so the quality is way better! They give you onion and potato, and grilling them together is heavenly.

They even grilled a whole head of kimchi. They said gabrisal cooks fast, so they'd put it on later.
The look of it is absolutely insane... The fire is super strong too, so the meat cooks well! From the top it's pork belly, pork neck and skirt meat. The staff grill it carefully so nothing burns, so you can relax and eat.

I was so hungry at that point, and honestly it was torture. It looked so delicious...

I waited obediently until the meat was fully cooked.
The doenjang stew served with every meal
The doenjang (fermented soybean paste) stew at Pujutgan comes as standard and is unlimited. They said to ask if we wanted kimchi stew, but the doenjang stew was plenty for us, so we just stuck with it.

More than enough portion;;;; Boss, is this really free?;;;;; And it's even tasty TT TT Loaded with tofu, onion, zucchini and potato, and there's brisket in it too!!!

Finally the meat was cooked, and I took a bite with kimchi. Wow, the pork belly is seriously good??? I'm normally someone who likes pork neck more than pork belly, but maybe because this is a top Haengdang-dong pork BBQ spot, the pork belly was really delicious, wow. And with the slightly sweet kimchi... it just keeps going down forever....

Now putting the gabrisal on the grill, haha.

Such radiant meat >_< When the quality is good, it's definitely delicious.

Eat the gabrisal while it's still juicy~~ It was super nutty and delicious, hehehe.
How many servings should three people order?
One serving at Pujutgan is 180g, so the three of us ate 4 servings, and with dessert I thought my stomach would burst. Total destruction in progress... I wrapped my ssam neatly and ate away, haha.
How were the bibim naengmyeon and janchi guksu?
The key to Pujutgan's bibim naengmyeon is the sauce with minced meat that the owner makes himself. We ordered bibim naengmyeon and janchi guksu for dessert, and both are unlimited refills.

The bibim naengmyeon I ordered for dessert! It's really good with meat, hehehe. They said the owner makes the naengmyeon sauce himself, and it was seriously delicious!!!

A splash of mustard and vinegar~ swish~ It's topped with cucumber and radish too, nicely done, haha. By the way, they said no egg goes on top in summer.
There's minced meat in the sauce, and that's the kicker...! It was a really nutty, delicious sauce, haha.

I ordered janchi guksu too, hehehe.

It's a clean-tasting janchi guksu.

It had lots of toppings and a big portion, so it was tasty. I bet it would be even better in winter, haha.
Pujutgan Saenggogi-jeom: final verdict
Unlimited dessert refills, good meat quality and great taste: Pujutgan Saenggogi-jeom is a Haengdang-dong favorite!!! I recommend it for all kinds of gatherings~
