Gangnam sushi restaurant, tuna tataki and ₩1,990 dessert: Sushi Ian N
In short
Sushi Ian N Seolleung Station is a conveyor-belt sushi restaurant on the 2nd floor of a building 3 minutes from Seolleung Station in Gangnam, Seoul, where every plate costs 1,990 won. Visiting with her mom, the writer took sweet shrimp egg, beef tartare, aged kimchi flounder and garlic sauce sushi off the belt, then ordered tuna tataki separately since it was not on the rail — and both named it the best bite of the day. Dessert is the same 1,990 won, so a slice of cake closed the meal, and parking in the building's B1 lot is registered free during meal hours.

Sushi Ian N has quite a few branches and a big following, and it's a great-value spot that puts way more effort into the interior, menu range and quality than your typical cheap conveyor-belt sushi place 🤍 Today my mom and I cleared everything down to dessert! Let me review in detail which menus were delicious, plus the parking info ➿

The restaurant is a 3-minute walk from Seolleung Station. You can park in the building's basement, and it's free to use during meal hours 🫶🏻

Park your car and head up to the 2nd floor, and the entrance to Sushi Ian N is right there. This is a popular spot in Daechi-dong, especially busy during weekday peak hours, so I'd recommend coming early or a bit after the rush 😶

Inside Sushi Ian N: atmosphere and seating
The interior is a bright, clean Japanese-restaurant style, with the prep area and conveyor belt right in the center of the store! They have everything from bar seating to comfortable table seats.

There were solo diners, couples, and families all around — with the crowd and the sushi constantly circling, the place felt really lively ☁️

Every plate at Sushi Ian N is 1,990 won
The menu is really varied. From basics like flounder, salmon, tuna and raw shrimp, to aged kimchi flounder, salmon onion, beef tartare, tataki, and sweet shrimp with sea urchin! You can grab whatever plate catches your eye off the belt, and if something isn't out there, they'll make it fresh on request. And every single one of these is a flat ₩1,990 per plate... unbelievable... 🫠

I'm attaching more menu photos so you can take a closer look. It's not just variety — the actual size and freshness of the fish cuts are excellent too, so the value for money here is genuinely insane.

The sushi plates we picked off the belt
Sweet shrimp and egg sushi
The very first thing I picked was the sweet shrimp egg sushi! It's topped generously with a sweet sauce that kids would probably love too 🌿 The rich, sweet flavor of the sweet shrimp paired with the soft, fluffy egg came together better than expected — really tasty.

Beef tartare (yukhoe) sushi
Eating this in between the fish sushi gives a nice change of pace so you don't get tired of it! This one had such a generous amount of beef tartare on top, it was honestly enough that they could've served it as two separate plates 💡

Aged kimchi flounder sushi
This one was also great — the light, chewy flounder sashimi paired with the tangy, savory kick of aged kimchi (mukeunji) was such a good combo ✨ The texture is more dynamic than flounder alone, and the aged kimchi completely cuts through any richness!

Garlic sauce sushi
Add in that salty-sweet garlic sauce flavor and it basically turns into a whole different dish...⚡️ If you like your sushi with sauce on it, you have to try this one!

Best bite of the day: tuna tataki
This wasn't on the belt so I ordered it separately, and it was the dish my mom and I both picked as the best of the day 🤍 The tuna's surface is lightly seared for a smoky flavor, with zero fishiness and a deep, nutty richness. The flesh was moist and tender with great texture, and that subtle hint of sesame oil was the finishing touch...!

Dessert at Sushi Ian N is also 1,990 won
Sushi Ian N does dessert really well too. Since it's the same ₩1,990 anyway, I tried it — and the quality rivals a specialty cake café...? ✨ Dessert was on point too.

This was a place where it was genuinely fun to pick and choose from such a wide variety of sushi at an affordable price. The two of us ate ourselves stuffed and still cleared even the dessert plate — CLEAR...! 🫶🏻
