Seocho burger diner: three-burger lineup and Stella on tap, Daily Fix
In short
Daily Fix Seocho Gyodae Branch is a handmade burger diner between Seocho Station and Gyodae Station in Seoul, reportedly run by chefs with Michelin-starred restaurant experience. We tried the cheeseburger, bacon cheeseburger and classic burger at Daily Fix with fries and Stella draft beer, and the juicy hanwoo (Korean beef) patties and thick bacon stood out most. Daily Fix is rumored to be a Korea Burger Championship runner-up, and one bite makes that easy to believe.

There's a hot spot that's been blowing up on social media lately.

I went to the place a singer famous as a celebrity foodie raved about. It reportedly took second place at the Korea Burger Championship by a mere 0.02 points, so the skills are serious. I thought it was all rumor, but after eating there I couldn't help nodding along. It's Daily Fix Seocho Gyodae Branch, a hot handmade burger spot between Seocho Station and Gyodae Station.

What kind of place is Daily Fix Seocho Gyodae Branch?
Daily Fix Seocho Gyodae Branch is a modern diner run by chefs who graduated from the CIA (Culinary Institute of America) and worked in Michelin-starred restaurants in New York. The signatures are handmade burgers with 100% hanwoo (Korean beef) patties, a pastrami sandwich and fresh Stella draft beer.
- Concept: a modern diner run by CIA graduates with New York Michelin-starred restaurant experience
- Signatures: 100% hanwoo patty burgers, pastrami sandwich, fresh Stella draft beer
- Tips: unlimited refills when you order a drink; whiskey and highballs available in the evening
What are the atmosphere and seating like?
The interior is hip and trendy, in an MZ-generation style that younger people will love, with varied tables, large group seating and even private booths. The moment I walked in, I let out an "wow" at the stylish vibe, and the space is used so well that just looking around was fun.

There are tables of all shapes, plus big group seating and private booths. It's perfect for meeting up with friends or for a date in Seocho. Best of all, it's an open kitchen where you can see right in, which boosted my trust a lot. Watching the chefs cook cleanly right in front of me was reassuring.

Burgers from chefs with Michelin restaurant experience
The flashy résumé is another point I can't skip. The place is run by veteran chefs who graduated from the CIA, the world's top culinary school. I'm told they worked at the three-Michelin-star Per Se and the two-star Momofuku Ko in New York.
They reportedly recreated the tasty, refined food they ate in the US right here in Korea. This is nowhere near a copy-and-paste American burger. The experience and technique from Michelin-starred kitchens are fully melted into the cooking. So instead of ordinary fast food, it felt like tasting one complete dish, with real high-end quality.

How do the cheeseburger, bacon cheeseburger and classic burger taste?
To really dig into the signature menu, I ordered three burgers: the cheeseburger, the bacon cheeseburger and the classic burger. The moment they hit the table, a savory meaty aroma hit my nose and got my mouth watering.

The first thing I noticed was the overwhelmingly thick handmade patty. It's said to be made fresh every day with 100% hanwoo, and the quality is on another level. With the first bite, rich juices burst across my mouth, and I was honestly amazed.

The beef's own flavor comes through strongly yet there's no gamey smell at all, which was moving. The thickness made the chew a work of art too, and it paired perfectly with the soft bun.
The thick bacon in the bacon cheeseburger
The bacon in the bacon cheeseburger in particular was a real shock. If you're picturing the thin, hard bacon of fast-food chains, you're mistaken. It's almost as thick as a regular cut of meat, so the chew and smoky aroma filled my mouth. The salty bacon met the savory hanwoo patty and the two created real synergy.
The classic burger also stays true to the basics, with a great balance of fresh vegetables and sauce. It keeps the taste of an American diner burger, which can get heavy, neat and clean.
Unlimited drink refills and fries
The stroke of genius that adds value here is the unlimited drink refill service. You can grab as many cold sodas as you like, so I enjoyed the burgers refreshed to the very end. The fries, the burger's best buddy, were this place's hidden kick too.

They came out crispy outside and moist inside, perfectly fried. The seasoning was nicely salty and just right. It felt like an upgraded version of McDonald's fries, the most popular fries around. They were so addictive that I kept reaching for more and finished them with the burgers in no time.
Why do I recommend the Stella draft beer at Daily Fix Seocho Gyodae Branch?
The one drink you must order here is the Stella draft beer, known for being meticulously maintained. Even though it's a restaurant rather than a pub, it's said to be famous as the place that sells the most Stella draft beer in Gangnam.

They reportedly swap in a fresh keg every day and clean the machine thoroughly and spotlessly.

With beer turning over so quickly, the freshness is bound to be on another level. The crisp yet smooth finish goes perfectly with rich handmade burgers.
Lunch or dinner: when should you go?
In the daytime, it's good value with easy set menus for office workers from Yeoksam and Seocho.

In the evening, with soft lighting, they sell whiskey, highballs, cocktails and other drinks. For a date with a partner over a drink in a nice mood, I don't think there's a better place.

They say they keep developing new menu items, so I plan to come back soon and enjoy the Smart Place (Naver) favorites perk too. If you want a high-end handmade burger from a Michelin-experienced chef and fresh draft beer, definitely visit Daily Fix Seocho Gyodae Branch!
