Pungse, Cheonan brunch café for a weekday dinner date: Pino Cafe
In short
Pino Cafe Cheonan is a 3,000-pyeong garden brunch café near Taehaksan Recreational Forest in Pungse, Cheonan. On a weekday evening date, the writer walked the garden of cosmos and cockscomb, the main hall already decorated for Christmas in October and the new annex, then ate a whole pork belly steak (29,800 won), an aglio olio ordered a little spicier (15,000 won) and a cherry coke (7,000 won). Pino Cafe Cheonan was expected to be all about the view, but the meals were substantial and even the restrooms were well kept, making it a satisfying visit.

What is Pino Cafe in Cheonan like?
Pino Cafe is a big brunch café with a huge garden near Taehaksan Recreational Forest in Pungse, Cheonan. A brunch café with a garden this big in Cheonan🌿 It's not far from Asan either.
It's not the usual big café where you drink coffee, eat some bread and leave. You can stroll the huge outdoor garden, take photos and have brunch too! Right now there are cosmos blooming by the terrace, so it's a lovely autumn outing spot.

My first weekday date in Cheonan-Asan, haha. It's so nice to enjoy a big café at a relaxed pace ㅠㅠ Plenty of parking too~ as roomy as the café, haha.
What are Pino Cafe's hours and parking?
Pino Cafe's address is 99-23 Hyuyangnim-gil, Pungse-myeon, Dongnam-gu, Cheonan, Chungnam, and it's open daily 10:00–20:30. I'd check the hours once before you go.
- There's a lot in front of the café and a second lot
- If the front lot is full, use the second lot behind the Siyudang building
- If the second lot is full too, search 'Taehaksan Management Office' (태학산관리사무소) in your navigation and use the public lot in front of it, about a 1-minute walk to the café
The outdoor terrace is so big that most visitors sit out there rather than inside!

There's also a space for a romantic campnic (camping picnic). It's ₩5,000 to use if you order ₩50,000 or more.
Can you have dinner at Pino Cafe?
Pino Cafe works on order-first, pay-first, and the meal menu is varied, with pasta, steak and more. We ordered the moment we arrived! I thought a café would only sell coffee and desserts, but the meals are so varied it works as a lunch spot too. We even went for dinner at a Cheonan brunch café, haha.

We ordered three things this time.
- Aglio olio (garlic-and-oil pasta) ₩15,000
- Whole pork belly steak ₩29,800
- Cherry coke ₩7,000
After ordering, we looked around inside while the food was being prepared, haha.

I love the self-packing station. There's a microwave, disposable aprons, wet wipes and small plates.
What's Pino Cafe's outdoor garden like in autumn?
Pino Cafe's biggest draw is the wide outdoor garden! It sits near Taehaksan Recreational Forest in Pungse, Cheonan, so you get the surrounding nature too. Bright red cockscomb flowers tell you it's autumn... autumn bride, flutter flutter.

I took photos in front of the windmill too. The outdoor space is so big that it'd be a shame to just drink coffee inside, so on a nice day it's good to add a garden stroll. I'd worried the days had gotten short, but before 6 p.m. we luckily caught it under a clear sky!
Best of all, it's a Cheonan brunch café where the scenery changes with the seasons! Spring flowers in spring, lush green in summer, cosmos in autumn. The daisies in spring were so pretty.
And this is the campnic spot. It looks great for a private time.

3,000 pyeong (about 10,000 m²) is a size I can't even picture, haha. There were SO many acorns on the ground, haha 🐿️

Before it gets colder, walk the outdoor terrace and take photos! Now that I'm on the subway, I can really feel how different the air was, haha. Okay, time to go eat, hahaha.
What are Pino Cafe's main hall and new annex like?
Pino Cafe's existing interior was already decorated for Christmas even though it was October. I wondered if Christmas was the concept, but it didn't feel neglected.. they seem to have prepared early! It's nice to get a Christmas preview in October instead of Halloween. Having it for only December always felt like a shame... Please, everyone, do Christmas from November at least haha.
Lots of mirrors too, which I loved 🤍🤍🤍
I'd heard Pino Cafe had a new annex, so I was curious, and it has a different mood from the original space. The annex has clean interiors, with the stylish, comfortable feel of cafés these days. I've been shopping for a dining table lately, so all I could see were the tables, chairs and lights, haha.
Overall the space is tidy and the interior is clean, so it's great for photos too, haha. The power of a weekday~~
The new annex feels like a calmer place to sit and spend time. The spaces are split up in many ways inside and out, so even with lots of visitors you could probably pick a seat in comfort. There were reserved seats all around, and I saw rooms that would be good for a group booking.
Christmas vibes here too, of course. We could see both the original interior with Christmas decorations and the annex with its clean, current feel. You can see the sky nicely, which is great, haha.
The restrooms were kept really clean! I went twice to brush my teeth, and apparently they'd been tidied differently from the first time. A big café left unattended is hopeless, but here you can see they're kept up continuously.
This area was all reserved! Cozy, and the furniture looked brand new.

How is Pino Cafe's whole pork belly steak?
After seeing the terrace and annex, we came back just in time for the meal, haha. Pino Cafe is also known for brunch made each morning with fresh, seasonal ingredients, plus desserts and bakery items made the same day!

A full spread, hahaha

Whole pork belly steak ₩29,800

Pino Cafe's whole pork belly steak is said to use low-temperature-aged Korean hanDon pork, for a tender, moist texture and lots of juice!

I went for the scenery and didn't expect much from the food, so I was shocked at how seriously good the meal was, hahaha. I'm super sensitive to meat smell and picky about sauces, and this suited me perfectly, haha. The chili sauce is right on target for Korean tastes too.
A steak made from whole pork belly! Nothing is more filling than the usual pasta, salad and sandwich, so brunch has always left me wanting, you know.

Crispy outside, juicy inside! Completely tender in the middle. My shrug-happy friend was a french fry addict, haha.
Can you adjust the spice level of Pino Cafe's aglio olio?
Aglio olio ₩15,000

Pino Cafe's aglio olio is so generously loaded, haha. You could call it a bacon and shrimp oil pasta. They really crammed in the bacon 🥓.

You can adjust the spice level, and when I asked for it a little spicy, it came out at a level I really liked, haha. Pork belly and oily pasta go together unbelievably well, haha.

The ingredients are good 👍🏻 Delicious shrimp 🦐 This place does brunch well!!! The price seems kind too...! The secret to the heat, haha: loads of peperoncino, hahaha. It looks as good as a Western restaurant.
Cherry coke ₩7,000
I figured the cherry coke would be just something like Dr Pepper, but I could chew something cherry-like 🍒 inside!!! A cherry syrup...? There's fruit on top too!!!! Every item has care put into it, which I loved...!
I totally recommend the whole pork belly steak, haha.
You get the nature of Taehaksan and sort out brunch and dessert too, so it'd be a decent weekend outing course as well!

A Cheonan brunch café where in autumn you can see the cosmos in the big garden, and indoors enjoy the early Christmas decorations and the clean mood of the new annex.

Cafés with lots of mirrors are the best, hahaha

Pino Cafe's review event and birthday candles
Pino Cafe has birthday candles, and the review event gives you an egg tart, but the owner kindly let me pick salt bread instead.

I picked the mocha one that looked delicious, hahahahaha
