Seongsu date café with a free self-studio and dark Americano: LOOOP

While out on a date in Seongsu, I found this big café, LOOOP Bakery (루프 베이커리 카페)! It's already famous as a Seongsu dessert café, but it's honestly a photo paradise!!! 📸🎞️ It's a "café where you can take photo-booth shots and studio photos for free." Let's keep our precious memories in Seongsu 💝!!

LOOOP Bakery Seongsu: opening hours and info

LOOOP Bakery's Seongsu branch is open every day from 09:30 until 02:00 a.m., and the bakery items come out after 12:00. There's no parking, but group visits, takeout, delivery, Wi-Fi and easy-pay all work, and there are separate men's and women's restrooms.

What are the 1st-floor seats and outdoor terrace like at LOOOP in Seongsu?

LOOOP uses the whole four-floor building as a café, so you can use every floor. On the 1st floor, the ordering kiosks and the counter are arranged in a circle~

Group tables, 4-person tables, 2-person tables... there's a really wide range of seating, so you can pick whatever suits you 👩🏻‍💻 People working alone, families having a nice time, people who brought their kids, and more! It's spacious and comfortable, just what you'd expect from a big Seongsu coffee spot, and I loved it ☕

1st-floor outdoor terrace and tablet photo spot

There's an outdoor terrace too, so in weather like this, a daytime coffee on the terrace sounds so nice!

There are tablet photo spots all around the café, and everyone who walks past seems to take a shot at least once, hehe. So I sneaked one in too. You can also choose the photos you like and print them -★!

How to order at LOOOP, and choosing your beans

You order at LOOOP through the two big kiosks at the 1st-floor counter. Just pick the category you want and order.

In the daytime you can have coffee and drinks at LOOOP, and in the evening you can enjoy wine 🍷 (it's open until 2 a.m., no less!!). I ordered two iced Americanos and some bakery items to go with them!

The range of beans is wide, and you can tell they're serious about coffee. Every coffee can be made with one of four blends of specialty-grade beans 🎶 I chose the dark roast ✔️

2nd- and 3rd-floor seating and restroom locations

At LOOOP Seongsu, the women's restroom is on the 2nd floor and the men's restroom is on the 3rd floor! Head up to the 2nd floor and you'll find the restrooms.

The 3rd floor has a clean hall and terrace seats too! The seating never ends, right? The whole four-floor building is just for LOOOP, so there were really plenty of seats in lots of styles.

The terrace is just as huge as the indoor hall! There are separate group seats as well, so it'd be great to come with a group and have coffee outside -♥ And on the 3rd floor there's also a separate "free self-studio" shooting room for people who've had coffee 🎥

How to use the free self-studio at LOOOP Seongsu

The free self-studio on LOOOP's 3rd floor is only for customers who ordered coffee, and you can shoot yourselves with a remote! I'd never seen a café with a perk this good 👍🏻

I took a few with my boyfriend! The quality is good and they came out so pretty 🤭

• Please take only 3 shots per person!
• You take the photos with a wired remote.
• You can check the photos on a large monitor.
• You can take the photos away by shooting them with your phone.
• If you want the original files, agree to an Instagram upload and tell the counter, and you can get the original files 📂.

4th-floor photo zone

Finally, there's a photo zone on the 4th floor. Head up and you can get pretty photos with Seongsu's buildings and the big sky as your backdrop!! Just note that access may be closed depending on the weather.

There was construction in front, so my shots have a construction view 🚧•• but I love them anyway, they really came out well?! This place is a bakery hit, but it's also a photo spot that truly deserves the title!

How do the dark-roast Americano and matcha bear roll taste?

I ordered two iced Americanos (dark roast) and the LOOOP New York Bear Roll (matcha). The bakery item was so cute I had no choice but to buy it.

The nutty dark-roast crema sits right on top. It really had no acidity, just a dark, nutty flavor ☕

The matcha bear roll is packed with matcha cream inside the bread 💚

Moist roll bread + rich matcha cream, a combination that has to be delicious! I'd just had a big meal before visiting, but it was so good that I finished it all ••🫢 There's a reason the hot Seongsu dessert cafés are hot 🙌🏻

Is the photo booth at the entrance free?

LOOOP has a separate four-cut photo booth at the entrance; downloading via QR code is free and prints cost extra. I was about to leave after finishing my coffee when I found a booth for four-cut photos at the entrance!

After you take the photos, a QR code appears and you just download them~ Prints cost money, but downloads are free, so everyone, take photos and grab them by QR-! ★ Ta-da! Aren't they pretty?! The quality isn't bad at all 🤭👍🏻

I stumbled on this big Seongsu café while passing by, went in for coffee, and ended up taking a ton of photos and making good memories 💝 LOOOP Bakery is a place that family, couples and friends will all be happy with, so do go. Totally recommended!
