I was in Yeoju and wanted a proper Korean rice table, so I went to Nadeulmok Yeoju Ssalbap. You can't visit Yeoju without eating rice — it's famous for it! This time I wanted something more substantial than a plain rice set, so I ordered the soy crab (ganjang gejang) set for two, plus a bottle of Saero soju to drink alongside the meal.

As the side dishes kept landing one by one, the table filled up until it was practically overflowing. If you're looking for a good rice-table restaurant in Yeoju, let me walk you through it :)

What about parking?

🚗 There are dedicated parking lots in front and behind the restaurant, so it was easy to visit by car. The space was generous too, making it a convenient stop before or after visiting the Yeoju Premium Outlets or sightseeing around Yeoju.

This is the exterior shot I took as soon as I arrived. It's a great spot when you want a hearty Korean meal in Yeoju, especially if you're after rice-table or set-menu dishes on a day trip. Since a lot of people visit Yeoju for the outlets or nearby attractions, this is also worth bookmarking if you're after a good Korean restaurant near the Yeoju outlets.

The atmosphere

Inside, it had that comfortable, familiar feel of a Korean rice-table restaurant. It felt like a good place for a relaxed meal with family, or with parents. Rice-table restaurants are all about the fun of laying out lots of side dishes plus a main dish at once, and once the table was set, it really felt like we'd come for a proper meal.

Menu and prices

Nadeulmok Yeoju Ssalbap requires a minimum order for two people, and serves hearty set menus with a range of side dishes, rice-table style. The signature menus were the Nadeulmok set (₩21,000), bulgogi set (₩25,000), braised cutlassfish set (₩25,000), and soy crab set (₩39,000). What we chose that day was the soy crab set for two!

  • Saero soju: ₩5,000

A generous spread of side dishes to start

Even before the main dish arrived, the side dishes started filling up the table one by one.

Salad, dumplings, a hot doenjang stew, and spicy pork stir-fry (jeyuk bokkeum) all came out, making for a pretty generous base spread. The pork stir-fry in particular came sizzling on a hot plate, and it paired well eaten with rice, almost like a wrap.

The tangy dressed salad refreshed the palate between bites, and with dumplings too, there was plenty to pick at even before the main event — the soy crab — arrived.

True to a good Yeoju rice-table restaurant, it wasn't just one or two side dishes but a whole spread to sample. Adding a glass of Saero soju alongside made it feel like the meal was really starting 🍶

Full spread with soy crab and stone-pot rice

Soy crab and stone-pot rice complete the spread

After the base side dishes, the soy crab and stone-pot rice arrived too, and the table was completely full. With the soy crab in the center surrounded by pork stir-fry, doenjang stew, salad, fried food, dumplings, kimchi and namul (seasoned vegetables), it looked hearty just from a glance.

You need to pour water into the stone pot and scoop the rice out.

Griddled pork stir-fry

Among the side dishes, the one I kept reaching for was the pork stir-fry. It came out hot on a griddle, the meat deeply coated in spicy sauce, and each piece was bigger than expected — really satisfying to eat.

If the soy crab was the salty, savory star, the pork stir-fry added a spicy kick, so it was great alternating between the two. And putting a piece of the pork stir-fry on hot stone-pot rice alone was enough to finish a whole bowl!

The main event: soy crab 🦀

Finally, the star of the day — the soy crab. Opening the shell revealed the roe and sauce still glistening inside, impossible to pass up. First I picked out the crab meat, then finished by piling hot stone-pot rice into the shell and mixing it all together!

The soy sauce seasoning soaked into every grain of rice, adding the crab's distinct savory depth — truly a

"rice thief" combination, as they say. Adding cheongyang chili in between gave it extra heat, and I kept going back for more.

Warm sungnyung enjoyed at the end of the meal

Finishing with warm, nutty sungnyung

After scooping out the stone-pot rice, water is poured in and left to sit, and finally served as warm sungnyung. The scorched rice on the bottom softens in the water, releasing a nutty flavor that suited the meal especially well after all the salty dishes like soy crab and pork stir-fry.

Starting with a generous spread of side dishes and soy crab, then finishing with warm, nutty sungnyung — it felt like a proper Yeoju rice-table experience! My stomach was already full, but the sungnyung somehow still went down easily haha. A clean, satisfying way to end the meal :)

Overall summary

✔️ Taste — The combination of soy crab and hot stone-pot rice was great, and with a variety of sides like pork stir-fry and doenjang stew, it was a hearty meal all around. Finishing with sungnyung made it feel like a complete Korean set-menu experience!

✔️ Price — At ₩39,000 per person, the soy crab set isn't cheap, but with soy crab, stone-pot rice, and a full range of sides included, it's a good choice for a special occasion or when you want a filling table full of food.

✔️ Atmosphere — The overall vibe is a comfortable Korean restaurant, well suited to family meals or dining with parents. It felt more like a casual, generous rice-table place than a formal set-menu restaurant.

✔️ Service — Dishes didn't all arrive at once but came out in stages, gradually filling the table, and the stone-pot rice is cooked to order so it arrives hot.

✔️ Would I return — Yes! Next time I'd like to try the bulgogi set or the braised cutlassfish set too, not just the soy crab.

✔️ Who I'd recommend it to — Anyone looking for a good rice-table restaurant in Yeoju, soy crab lovers, people looking for somewhere to eat with parents, or anyone wanting a hearty Korean meal before or after visiting the Yeoju outlets.
