Why we stopped at Daecheon Brewery on a Daecheon Beach trip

We came to Daecheon Beach for a summer holiday, and while looking for lunch with my child, I found Daecheon Brewery. In Boryeong?! From the outside it already had a full overseas-resort feel ☀️☀️

It was a weekday early in the holiday season, so even Daecheon Beach was quiet, but once I got here I was suddenly dancing along, so excited 🎶🎶 Totally feels like a trip~ ✈️✈️

I saw a Daecheon Brewery van at the entrance. There's a pickup service for groups of 8 or more! I think it'd be great to eat grilled clams at Daecheon Beach, then call the pickup service and come here for round two.

What are the interior and seating like at Daecheon Brewery?

The inside of Daecheon Brewery has resort-style decor like an overseas resort, with a bar table plus 2-seat, 4-seat and 6-seat tables. The warm lighting makes it cozy, so it works for toddlers and family gatherings too.

Eek! The resort vibe is crazy ❤️ It's full of exotic, overseas-resort feeling 🌈 There are plants everywhere, so it feels fresh and lively too. I really coveted the bar table here too 👀👀 If I'd come with my husband, just the two of us, we'd have sat here! A couple was sitting there drinking beer and I was weirdly jealous 🙊 The interior, with sand, shells and coral decorations, looks like the sea moved indoors, and it makes you think, ah, I'm on vacation 🌴🌴 There are so many great places in Korea to travel too, right?!

We sat at a seat with a lush green view through a big window ✨️✨️ This seat was so good too! >< The rattan lamps are so pretty T_T It's comfortable, relaxed and romantic, it has everything... Hawaii vibes?! haha

Brewing equipment you can see from your seat

You can see the craft beer brewing equipment beyond the seats at Daecheon Brewery, so you immediately feel it's a real brewery. They make special local craft beer using mud, a Boryeong specialty 🫢🫢 You can watch how the beer is made while you drink, which makes it even more unusual 🍻🍻

Can you bring kids or pets to Daecheon Brewery?

Daecheon Brewery has wooden baby chairs, and pets can come too if they're in a bag or carrier. Parents with toddlers, come here~! There's lots to look at and it's relaxed, so it's easy on mom and dad too!

Daecheon Brewery accepts the Chungnam Tour Pass, so pass users can get a brewery docent tour or a souvenir worth about ₩10,000. And of course lots of celebrities have visited too. It's a must-stop on a Daecheon trip><

With the Chungnam Tour Pass you can use many places, like Mud Therapy, Milk Warehouse (우유창고) and Gaehwa Art Park, so I recommend trying it on your Daecheon trip ✨️✨️

Daecheon Brewery has a Signature Collection gift set of 6 bottled beers, and a single bottle is ₩5,900. The set comes with 2 Boryeong Mud Lagers, 2 Daecheon Golden Ales, a Wonsando IPA and an Ohcheon Porter, so it looks great as a gift.

Browsing the souvenirs and craft beers is fun too. I recommend buying even one or two and trying them at your hotel 🍻🍻 It's draft beer, so you have to keep it refrigerated! ✋️✋️

There's also a goods zone inside with postcards, key rings, T-shirts, magnets and more, good for shopping. Full of resort vibes 🌴🌴🌴 It really feels like a trip 🌈🌈

Daecheon Brewery menu and how to order

You order at Daecheon Brewery from a kiosk, and the menu is divided into platters, pizzas, appetizers and side dishes, plus beer, drinks and tea. The Daecheon Sea Platter must be reserved 1 day ahead.

Platters, wood-fired pizza, nachos and more, all dishes that go well with beer. There are 6 kinds of craft beer too 🍻🍻 I want to try them all... 🫢🫢 Non-alcoholic beer for non-drivers is a big plus too ✨️✨️ There's also coffee, drinks and tea, so drivers and non-drivers can enjoy it together!

How does the double pepperoni wood-fired pizza taste?

The pepperoni wood-fired pizza at Daecheon Brewery is big and thick, with generous mozzarella and pepperoni 👍

The combination of salty pepperoni, tomato sauce and nutty, soft mozzarella is great ✨️

Above all, the light yet chewy dough is a real five stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ As a food blogger, you can imagine how many good places I've been to. But I really recommend the pizza here 🍕🍕🍕 It's light, so even after eating a lot it doesn't sit heavy, and the flavors were balanced overall.

Hot, soft, light and chewy, with a faint aroma of tomato sauce and stretchy mozzarella 🧀🧀🧀 No questions asked, just delicious, the best 👍

What comes in the 1-person platter?

The 1-person platter at Daecheon Brewery is a beer snack of sausage, buffalo wings and drumsticks. It came out right away, piping hot.

The buffalo wings and drumsticks are slightly spicy. Crispy outside, soft and juicy inside ✨️ Salty and spicy, just right as a beer snack! Even better dipped in the sauce that came with it. The chicken must be good quality, because the meat was so tender 🫢🫢

The sausage is thick and soft too, perfect with beer 👍 It feels like a premium sausage 🌭🌭🌭

The signature beer: Boryeong Mud Lager

Boryeong Mud Lager is the signature beer of Daecheon Brewery, smooth and refreshing, perfect for a hot summer day. The foam is soft and the carbonation just right, so it goes down so easily 🍻🍻 The music and atmosphere are great too, so the drinks just slide down 🎶🎶

Daecheon Golden Ale and Ocheon Porter to take back to the accommodation

We were on our way to the hotel, so we packed 2 beers to go, Daecheon Golden Ale and Ohcheon Porter, and are heading off now!

Ohcheon Porter is a dark beer that is rich and smooth. It's a strong style of dark beer with a long aftertaste of chocolate and coffee.

Personally, the Daecheon Golden Ale was really good! It's a draft beer with a strong fruity aroma, smooth and refreshing, a taste women especially will like 🫢🫢 Drinking Daecheon beer back at the hotel made it feel even more like a trip, and I loved it.

Is Daecheon Brewery worth visiting on a Daecheon trip?

Considering interior, atmosphere, vibe, taste and price, I'd definitely recommend Daecheon Brewery when you come to Daecheon. The craft beer and pizza are insanely good especially! Good for couples, families and group gatherings><

The Boryeong Mud Festival is coming up soon at Daecheon Beach. If you go to the Mud Festival and then have a cold pizza and beer here, it totally feels like a trip. Highly recommended.
