Gwangalli café with a kid, genovese pizza & pomodoro: Working Holiday

In short

Working Holiday Millak is a brunch café with Gwangan Bridge views on the 7th floor of the Badamaru building, on the raw fish market street in Millak-dong, Suyeong-gu, Busan. At 11am, the writer and their child sat at an ocean-view table right by the sea and shared a genovese pizza (24,000 won) and pomodoro pasta (18,000 won). The wood-fired crust was chewy, and burrata on the pasta softened the tomato's tang. With 1 hour of basement parking per 10,000 won spent (up to 4 hours), Working Holiday Millak is an easy Gwangalli café to drive to.

Working Holiday Millak: Gwangan Bridge views and parking at Badamaru, 7th floor

Working Holiday Millak is a Gwangalli brunch café on the 7th floor of the Badamaru building along the Millak sashimi street. You can use the building's basement parking, which is super convenient.

You get 1 hour of parking per 10,000 won spent, up to 4 hours, so it's a Gwangalli café you can come to without worrying about parking ☀️ There's Royal Gyeongyangsik on the 2nd floor and The Able on the 3rd, and I've been to both — even then I thought "wow, great view." But this place is on the 7th floor, so it's definitely even better 🙊 And the prices aren't expensive either, so I highly recommend it‼️‼️

As soon as I walked in, the wide-open view made my jaw drop. It was so good I took like a million photos 📷💛

Ocean views from every seat, plus a terrace and group tables

With the wide floor-to-ceiling windows and an outdoor terrace, it felt almost like an observatory 🎆🎆 Out of all the Gwangalli cafés I've been to, this one has the best view and atmosphere I think 😉 And on top of that, the parking is flawless 👏👏

The windows are also super clean 💛💛 which made me like it even more.

Since every seat has an ocean view, you can see the wide sea no matter where you sit. There's also spacious group seating, so it's great for coming with a bunch of people. It's hip yet comfortable and trendy — I really like it 💛

The kitchen is also open-style and the dishware looks clean ✨️ It's lively and hip, giving off a bit of an overseas-kitchen kind of vibe.

I arrived around 11am, and there were people eating meals as well as people just having coffee. Come without any pressure 🙏🙏

Ahh‼️ I scored a great seat 💛 right by the sea, an ocean-view spot ⛱️⛱️ With a view like this you could just drink plain water and it'd be good 😁 But here, the view is great AND the food is legit too 👍

Genovese pizza for 24,000 won: how is the wood-fired crust?

The genovese pizza at Working Holiday Millak is 24,000 won. It's an authentic Italian wood-fired pizza made with dough fermented fresh every day.

Genovese wood-fired pizza cut into 4 slices

Baked in a 400–500°C oven, it naturally develops char spots — not burnt, but the traditional cooking method‼️ They use dough long-fermented with the Viga method every day, which is what gives it that chewy texture.

The pizza came out cut into 4 big slices⁉️ Super hot, loaded with cheese, looked so good 🙊

A slice of genovese pizza showing its chewy dough

Since it's baked in an oven over 400°C, the dough was really chewy and delicious 🙊 The genovese pizza is made with an Italian genovese basil sauce base, and it was fresher and more fragrant than a tomato sauce pizza 👍

I'm a hot sauce lover so I put some on and took a bite 🍕🍕 The pizza was big, the view and vibe were great, and it gave me a bit of an overseas-travel feeling too‼️ Eating pizza on a plush sofa while looking at the sea — pure happiness ㅠㅠ❤️❤️

Pomodoro pasta for 18,000 won, topped with burrata

The pomodoro pasta is 18,000 won. It's the plainest, cleanest style of pasta with a tomato sauce base!

There's a generous amount of appetizing burrata cheese piled on top of the pasta.

The sweet-tart flavor of the well-ripened tomatoes melted together with the soft burrata cheese, so the tomato's acidity got even smoother, and you could taste the cheese's rich, savory flavor 🧀🧀

Why Working Holiday Millak works well with kids

Sitting at the ocean-view seat at Working Holiday Millak, relaxing while eating, my son really loved it 😁⛱️ The chairs were soft, the sea was visible, and seeing people swimming got him excited‼️👍

If you're visiting Busan, you have to come here. You can seriously heal here. Great view, great food, great atmosphere ❤️
