I was hanging out in Samgakji, which has been blowing up as a hotspot lately, when I stumbled on an izakaya with really good vibes ➰ Today I'm introducing a bar in Yongridan-gil with a great atmosphere, tasty snacks and drinks in a relaxed setting — Hatpiendo.
It's a comfortable, laid-back kind of bar with both group seating and more private spots, so I'd recommend it for date nights, blind dates, work dinners, or family get-togethers 💟

What Hatpiendo looks like from the street
Hatpiendo is a 5-minute walk from Samgakji Station. It's right in Yongridan-gil, which is full of good restaurants and things to see, so it was a great last stop after spending the day there ❣️
It's right in front of the Samgakji temporary public parking lot, so it looked really convenient to drive to as well. Great accessibility makes it a Yongsan bar I'd recommend for group gatherings too 🌀

Inside this Samgakji bar, the soft lighting created a cozy, warm atmosphere. The 2nd floor has a range of seating — 2-tops by the big windows, 4-tops, and bar seats! The window-side seats especially are just perfect for a date .. 🫶🏻
Heading up to the 3rd floor, there's sofa group seating that looks great for gatherings ➰ It fits up to 24 people, so I'd recommend it for a work dinner or family gathering after eating your way through Yongridan-gil ❣️
The lighting is just the right amount of dim to look pretty, and the vibe wasn't too quiet or too loud, so I thought it'd be perfect for dates or blind dates. And actually, there was a couple on what looked like a blind date there too, haha 😆
If you're looking for a good-vibes Yongsan bar for a date or blind date near Samgakji, I'd recommend this place 💕
Hatpiendo's menu and highball lineup
Hatpiendo has all kinds of menu items. There's the mackerel sushi rolls, limited to 5 a day!! Unfortunately I couldn't order it on my visit 😿 And I also spotted the salted gimbap (seaweed rice roll) on the menu, which I'd been curious about after seeing Kang Min-kyung's YouTube video!!
There's a wide variety of drinks too. Especially the highballs — so many kinds, including non-alcoholic ones 🍹 There's also several types of sake, so you can pick whatever suits your taste, haha!

I visited with a friend and we took seats at the bar. With just the right amount of music and a pleasantly busy buzz, it was perfect for chatting over drinks 💓

I'd already had dinner before coming, so I kept the order simple (next time I've got to try the salted gimbap for sure ...𖦹°‧★)
Since we were at the bar, we could watch our food being cooked right in front of us 🔥
First out: the Earl Grey highball and Kirin draft beer. Noting for the record — Hatpiendo in Yongsan is a highball spot ✏️ The Earl Grey highball was totally my type ♥

Perfectly cooked, springy pasta noodles, a nutty and rich gut cream sauce, and chewy abalone on top ! 🤤🤤 No fishy taste at all and it was so good I scraped the sauce clean 🍽️

Green tea ice cream from the review event! 🍨🌱 Wasn't expecting much but the green tea flavor was strong and really good ➰
Is Hatpiendo worth a visit?
Overall, Hatpiendo was a satisfying Yongridan-gil bar — the atmosphere, the menu, the drink lineup, all of it 🌀 If you're looking for a bar that's cozy and comfortable rather than heavy, one where you can easily just talk, I'd recommend this one 💟
If you're looking for a good-vibes izakaya in Yongridan-gil near Samgakji Station, Hatpiendo — with its great snacks and highballs — is worth a visit :) Next time I'm definitely trying the salted gimbap and the mackerel sushi rolls I missed out on this time... !! ♥
