Friday evening: walking over with my sibling and niece

My sibling and niece came over on a Friday evening, so for dinner we went to Matsumi Seokchon Lake Main Branch near Seokchon Gobun Station!! haha

No parking available so we decided to walk from home haha the weather's been so nice lately, great for walking lol

It's right on the road and right in front of Seokchon Gobun Station, so it's super accessible!! haha

They sell all kinds of things — udon, tonkatsu, and more — great for solo dining too haha, full of guys' soul food!!!!

No high chair at Matsumi? The long bar seats at the back

The inside of Matsumi Seokchon Lake Main Branch isn't big at 16 seats, but there's long bar-style seating in the back so we could sit with the kid even without a high chair. The interior is clean, not huge but cute and tidy haha

There seemed to be lots of different tonkatsu types, and I like the kind that comes out slightly pink like this, so I was glad theirs turns out that way haha

Tonkatsu sauce and vinegar for the mazesoba came together haha the mazesoba looked delicious too but today was all tonkatsu~~~~

Spicy cheddar tonkatsu: the cheese and heat are the kick

This is the spicy cheddar tonkatsu, and the cheddar cheese with a bit of spice was the kick haha. They give you a ton of cabbage too, and the portion is huge lol

Mixed katsu set: swapping the soba for udon

This is the mixed katsu, and since my niece likes udon, we ordered udon instead of soba haha

The udon was very chewy and bouncy haha my niece ate it well lol, and the broth was clean too haha

The shrimp and meat katsu were both delicious, and the meat was so tender, I loved that. Crispy outside, juicy inside, perfect!!!!

The spicy cheese tonkatsu also had this juicy cutlet with a melty cheese spicy sauce haha

Right when it starts feeling greasy, the sauce hits and cuts down that heavy feeling lol

I also stole some of my sibling's shrimp katsu, and the shrimp was super bouncy haha the batter was really good lol

Topped with wasabi, yum haha tonkatsu can feel a bit greasy but topping it with salt or wasabi cuts that right down lol

The croquette was also really moist haha my niece ate it well lol

They gave us candy on the way out too~~~
