In short
Que Sera is a brunch café in Samjeon-dong, Songpa, Seoul, in the back alley off the cram school intersection near Samjeon Station, serving sandwiches and pasta made with naturally leavened bread fermented for more than 16 hours at low temperature. On a weekend lunch the writer took a terrace seat for the truffle BLT open sandwich and the healthy shrimp oil pasta, priced in the high 10,000 won range, then came back a few days later with a coworker for the farmer's omelette plate. Where is Que Sera? The back alley by the Samjeon Station cram school intersection
On a weekend lunch, I visited Que Sera, a brunch spot near Seokchon Lake in Samjeon-dong, Songpa, that's been building word of mouth. There are so many brunch places near Seokchon Lake in Jamsil, but Que Sera is the one I found while looking for something both healthy and delicious — a real gem, honestly, and lately I keep bringing people I know.
Que Sera sits in the alley behind the Samjeon Station cram school intersection. It's not a deep back alley, so it was easy to find.

Que Sera Hours: Tue–Sun 10:00–17:00 * Last order 16:00 * Closed every Monday Parking: Available
I asked about parking — you can park between the store and the laundromat next door, or right out front. If those spots are full, they said there's a paid Olive Young parking lot 2 minutes away on foot.

Inside Que Sera and the terrace seats
An open kitchen brunch café where everything gets cooked to order right after you order — what more could you want? The music is nice, the coffee smells great. Inside there's a sunlit terrace, plus about two big tables seating 3–4. It's not huge, but Que Sera is clean and cozy, a real Jamsil brunch favorite. Okay, I'm hungry, let's order.

You order via the QR code on each table, and there's also an easy-to-read paper menu at every seat.

At Que Sera you can try sandwiches made with bread from a natural sourdough starter, fermented in-house at low temperature for over 16 hours. Today's lunch! Everything on the menu looked so good I wanted to order three things for the two of us, but I held back and painstakingly picked just two.

Truffle BLT open sandwich & Healthy shrimp oil pasta
With an iced americano. Iced americanos are just so good. We grabbed terrace seats too, and with the pretty sunlight, the iced americano tasted even better, the music was great, and the whole vibe was lovely.

What does the truffle BLT open sandwich taste like?
And then the truffle BLT open sandwich arrived.

Bacon, avocado, carrot rapée, tomato, and a poached egg piled on top of bread — that's the truffle BLT open sandwich. Edible flowers on top made it so pretty. They say if it looks good it tastes good, and I posted it on Instagram stories — it really was that pretty and that delicious.

You have to pop the poached egg so it coats the bread and sauce, and eat it while it's soft and moist — that's the real way to enjoy it.
Quite the visual.

With the sandwich packed full of ingredients, the bread was soft, the poached egg was rich and savory, and the crunch of the carrot rapée with the arugula, the salty bacon, and Que Sera's own house sauce all came together — genuinely so, so good. The fries were on the thinner side, so I kept reaching for them, and they came drizzled with truffle oil for an extra special touch. It was just one dish, but it felt so substantial, honestly the kind of thing I'd want to eat every day.

Healthy shrimp oil pasta: better than expected for the high 10,000 won range
And then the healthy shrimp oil pasta. There were quite a lot of pasta options, and I hadn't had oil pasta in a while — plus it's healthy? I really wanted it, so I ordered it, and the aroma was amazing.

Packed with roasted vegetables, the noodles emulsified beautifully with the sauce — genuinely delicious. The pasta was in the high ₩10,000s, and the taste was more than beyond expected for a weekend date.
Back at Que Sera a few days later with a coworker
And a few days later, I went back to Que Sera! This time with a coworker who loves pretty, delicious, healthy things. I confidently brought her to my go-to brunch spot near Seokchon Lake in Jamsil.
Americano again this day. The crema was excellent, and the coffee was great again.

This time too, I ordered the truffle BLT open sandwich without a second thought. It's the kind of taste that lingers in your mind after — highly, highly recommend.

Perfect poached egg, delicious sauce, a taste that makes you happy... ♥
The truffle BLT open sandwich was so good. I wonder how the other sandwiches taste — I want to try a different menu item next time, but since everything's always so good, I don't think I can go wrong.
