The day I walked from Seongsu to Stack Bakery in Konkuk Univ.
Stack Bakery is a croissant bakery on Ttukseom-ro 31-gil, near Konkuk Univ. Station. I went to Seongsu today and visited tons of fun places, and then I walked all the way from Seongsu to Konkuk Univ.

I walked from Seoulsup to Konkuk Univ. just to get to Stack Bakery,, in this heat I honestly thought I was going to die, but the bread was so good that I'm happy.

Parking, takeout and dining in at Stack Bakery
There's no parking at Stack Bakery, but both takeout and eating in are fine. It's a Konkuk Univ. bakery where you can sit and eat, and the croissants here are seriously good.
- No parking
- Takeout available
- Dine-in available

There are seats outside where you can eat, and I bet it's lovely out there in spring or fall. Even with seats right there, it's way too hot now and I couldn't bring myself to sit outside.

What croissants and pastries does Stack Bakery have?
Inside Stack Bakery, the display is packed with croissants and pastries made from croissant dough. There are an unbelievable number of delicious-looking pastries, and they call it a Seoul croissant hotspot, and yep, yep, it is. So many croissants. And a whole bunch of tasty croissant-dough pastries too.

The plain croissant has layers that look so good, and it's ₩4,200.

And the plain queign-amann (butter-sugar pastry), which I absolutely love. Queign-amann is so good. There's also a flat croissant made by pressing a croissant down, and next to it is a pastry loaf bread.

Then there's a pain au ham and cheese, basically a pain au chocolat with the chocolate swapped for ham and cheese. How could those not be good? Pain au chocolat, and there's a hazelnut queign-amann too!!

And I really love flan (custard tart), and they have flan here! Chocolate flan and egg flan. With flan it's always egg flan, no question!! Next to the flan there's even pain suisse.
There's a kaya croissant with kaya jam and butter, a cruffin-style croissant topped with cookie dough (a "crookie"), and an almond pain suisse too.

The apple cinnamon pastry has apple and cinnamon inside, and there's a Johnsonville sausage pastry too. Every single one looks delicious.

There's also a peanut pastry with Nutella inside.

The salt bread (soft buttery roll) looks good too: red bean butter salt bread and Maldon salt bread. I think salt bread would be even better warmed up once in an air fryer.

Stack Bakery drinks and sandwich sets
I ordered two iced americanos at Stack Bakery, and there are set menus pairing a croissant with an americano. So, americanos it is. Two iced ones.

And they have sandwiches too: a plain croissant + americano set and a sandwich croissant + americano set. Ah, they sound so good! Sandwiches are made to order, so you'll wait a little.

Stack Bakery's 2nd-floor seating and the iced americano
At Stack Bakery you order on the 1st floor and take your food up to the 2nd floor. So I ordered and headed upstairs.

On the way up I spotted this nameplate-type thing for Stack Bakery. I want my croissant already. Croissant pastries are always good.

The americano came out first. I drank it ice cold. It's seriously, seriously cold,,, the best. And the beans are so nutty and delicious. Really nutty beans, so good.

How was the queign-amann at Stack Bakery?
The queign-amann at Stack Bakery isn't too sweet and it's crisp, with the butter aroma and the sugar's sweetness blending well. These are the breads I packed to go, and they looked so good that even though I was full I ate one, of course. Here's the delicious queign-amann I took out. I really love queign-amann.

Besides the queign-amann, I packed two flans and an apple cinnamon pastry too!! Looks tasty, right?
Queign-amann is pastry baked with sugar and butter, and it's so good. It's even better because it's not too sweet. It's crispy, and the butter aroma inside and the sweetness of the sugar are amazing. The harmony is incredible.

Delicious queign-amann, cold americano, I love this Konkuk Univ. bakery. I officially recognize Stack Bakery as a Seoul croissant hotspot.

The Amsterdam poster must be something the owner bought on a trip there, right? I love Amsterdam, really do.
And the 2nd floor of Stack Bakery has an eat-in space with everything from bar seats to regular tables, so it's perfect for a relaxing time. I slurped my americano and slurped some more,

and sip by sip I finished it all. I really enjoyed it. A cold americano is perfect for a hot summer day.

Is Stack Bakery in Konkuk Univ. worth going back to?
The writer picks Stack Bakery as a croissant and pastry hotspot in Konkuk Univ. and says it's a must-stop whenever in Seongsu or Konkuk Univ. A delicious Konkuk Univ. bakery, and yes, a croissant hotspot. A pastry hotspot, Stack Bakery is a must in Seongsu and Konkuk Univ.

I'm in such a good mood after finding a great bakery in ages.

With my bread cravings filled, I even got to enjoy the celebration flyover above Jamsil Sports Complex in Seoul on the way home. I'm totally smitten with this Konkuk Univ. bakery, Stack Bakery,,,, one very happy bread lover.
