There are so many restaurants around Mapo Station that it's often hard to decide where to go, but Raccoon Pizza had a wide variety of pizzas and, above all, a vibe that felt straight out of America — really impressive. It's a comfortable place to eat with friends, and the casual atmosphere also makes it a great date spot. There's space beside the building for about 4 cars. If it's full, you can use the nearby public street parking lot. It's an easy walk from Mapo Station, and since the place sits right on a main road, it was easy to find even on my first visit.

Raccoon Pizza Mapo Station branch is right on a main street, so it catches your eye as you pass by. The sign is pretty big too, so first-timers shouldn't have any trouble finding it. It was a convenient spot to stop for a meal while looking for something to eat near Mapo Station. From the outside it already felt a bit different from a typical pizza chain, and that feeling only got stronger once we stepped inside.

What is the Raccoon Pizza dining room like?

The first thing I thought the moment I walked in was that it really felt like America.

The retro lighting, the little decor pieces, and even the wall decorations all together brought to mind an actual pizza place or diner in the US. It wasn't overdone — casual but full of character, and great for photos too. The tables were also spaced fairly generously, so I never felt like the next table was too close.

being able to order the crust split cheese half and tangle sausage half meant it was fun eating all the way to the edge.

On the cheese crust side, biting into the edge of the pizza had cheese stretching smoothly inside. Usually I leave the crust end behind when eating pizza, but with cheese packed in there, I kept reaching for the crust instead.

The salty dough paired well with the savory cheese, and there was enough cheese that I could enjoy it all the way to the end. The tangle sausage crust delivered exactly the bouncy sausage texture the name promises.

Inside the soft dough, the sausage had a nice snap with every bite — salty and savory in a way that had its own appeal, different from the cheese crust. Alternating between the cheese side and the sausage side meant I never got tired of it.

How does the Raccoon Cheese Waterfall Pizza taste?

True to its name, this pizza is piled generously with cheese, and it caught my eye visually right away. Lift up a slice and the cheese stretches out — cheese lovers will probably be satisfied just looking at it.

The cheese flavor came through rich when I actually ate it. With that much cheese, I thought it might get heavy, but the salty flavor from the dough and a subtle buttery note balanced it out, so I kept reaching for more than I expected. Eaten warm, the cheese melts softly and fills your mouth — personally, this is the first pizza I'd recommend to anyone who loves cheese.

How does the Double Pepperoni taste?

The Double Pepperoni lives up to its name, loaded generously with pepperoni.

Take a bite and the savory oil aroma and slight spice of the pepperoni hit first, followed by the soft flavor of the cheese. Pepperoni pizza can sometimes get too salty and you tire of it after a few slices, but Raccoon Pizza's Double Pepperoni leaned more into umami than saltiness.

Truffle fries as a side at Raccoon Pizza

This was the perfect side to pick at between slices of pizza. The fries were crisp outside and fluffy inside, with a subtle truffle aroma coming through.

The truffle scent wasn't overpowering, so it was easy to eat without feeling weighed down. The savory potato flavor combined with the fragrant truffle note made the fries delicious even on their own.

Especially while eating a cheese-heavy pizza, adding fries in between changes up the texture and refreshes the flavor — a great combo to order together.

The portions were generous too — the two of us ended up leaving some pizza behind! We got it packed to take home haha.
