Hapjeong café with bean cards and tiramisu to go: Central Site
In short
Central Site Hapjeong is a roastery and hand-drip (brewing) coffee shop on a corner of Yangwha-ro 7-gil near Hapjeong Station in Mapo, Seoul. Two friends ordered an Ethiopia Single Farmer Dark Room drip for 13,000 won, a Guatemala Entre Volcanes washed drip for 9,000 won and the signature classic tiramisu for 8,500 won, with a bean description card served alongside each coffee. The tiramisu at Central Site Hapjeong was good enough to warrant packing an extra slice to take home.

Where Central Site Hapjeong is, and first impressions
Central Site Hapjeong is a Hapjeong café on a corner of Yangwha-ro 7-gil in Mapo, Seoul. I met a friend in Hapjeong for coffee, and the vibe won me over the moment I saw the place.
It sits right on a street corner with the doors thrown wide open, wooden benches and tables set outside — honestly it felt like stumbling on a café in some sleepy little European town. ☕️ I didn't expect to find such a relaxed corner of Hapjeong in the middle of all that hustle and bustle.
There's outdoor seating too, so I spotted a few people there with their dogs. If you're visiting with a dog, the outside tables are the way to go. 🐶 Being right on the corner, the shop was easy to spot.

A Hapjeong roastery café that roasts its own beans
Central Site Hapjeong is a local roastery café that roasts its own beans and specializes in hand-drip brewing. The first thing that caught my eye walking in was all the coffee equipment.

Toward the back of the shop I noticed a big roasting machine — and yes, they're actually roasting on-site.

Along the bar sat rows of different beans and brewing gear, with quite a wide selection of beans to choose from.

From Panama Geisha to Ethiopia, Colombia, Guatemala — even people who usually just order an americano might have fun picking out something a little special here for once.
The two specialty drip coffees we ordered at Central Site
What we drank that day were two specialty hand-drip coffees. We picked "Ethiopia Single Farmer Niguse Gemeda Baturo 74158 Classic Washed Dark Room" (₩13,000) and "Guatemala Entre Volcanes Washed" (₩9,000). What I loved most was that they didn't just hand over the coffee —

they also gave us an information card explaining the bean we'd chosen!

Reading about where the bean was grown and how it was processed while sipping made me slow down and savor the cup more than usual.

Even someone like me who doesn't know much about coffee got a little kick out of thinking, "ah, so this is the bean I'm drinking right now."

Nutty rather than acidic: Guatemala Entre Volcanes, 9,000 won
I went with the "Guatemala Entre Volcanes Washed," and if you're like me and prefer nutty flavors over acidity, I'd recommend it (I actually asked staff and this is what they suggested haha).
The two cups looked completely different in color from each other, which was fun to see depending on the bean. This felt like a place where the fun is in choosing and experiencing the bean, not just drinking coffee.

Central Site's signature classic tiramisu, 8,500 won

Along with the coffee we ordered Central Site's signature dessert, the "Classic Tiramisu" for ₩8,500.

The dessert case had more than just the classic — there was also a brownie tiramisu and a lotus tiramisu.

Still, first visit, gotta try the signature first. 😋

The classic tiramisu came out plated with cocoa powder and chocolate piled generously on top — it looked the part before I even took a bite. Digging in with a fork, the inside was so soft, with cream and moist sponge layered together — wow, this is good.
A sip of coffee, a bite of tiramisu, back and forth — the pairing worked so well. My friend and I both loved it so much that in the end—

we packed an extra classic tiramisu to take home haha. If you like something enough to take it to go after already eating it there, that says it all, right? 🤭
Interior and seating at Central Site Hapjeong

Inside, Central Site Hapjeong has a vintage yet cozy mix of wood and black tones.

The big windows were left wide open, so the outside scenery flowed right into the space, which I loved,

and watching people sipping coffee by the window only deepened that first impression of a relaxed little European neighborhood café.

Honest verdict after visiting Central Site Hapjeong
Central Site Hapjeong isn't the kind of café that grabs your attention with flashy interior design — it's more the type of place to slowly enjoy the coffee and the atmosphere of the space itself. As a proper roastery café that roasts its own beans, the bean selection is wide and you get an explanation with whatever you choose, so coffee lovers will especially enjoy digging in here.
My friend and I properly enjoyed two specialty drip coffees and the classic tiramisu that day. We went for coffee and ended up so won over by the tiramisu that we packed some to go. If you're looking to skip the usual franchise coffee chains around Hapjeong and try something a bit different in beans and brewing, Central Site Hapjeong is worth remembering. ☕️🤎
