Why I stopped at Café Ohkam after shopping at Star City
Café Ohkam is a café near Konkuk Univ. Station with really good mango cake, and I dropped in after shopping at Konkuk Univ. Star City for the first time in ages! Konkuk Univ. is a meaningful place for me, full of memories from my teens and twenties... 💛 Anyway, after finishing my shopping and errands, my legs were killing me, so I went looking for a café to rest in and ended up at Café Ohkam 🥭 💛
Café Ohkam's mango cake is a fresh cream cake loaded with mango, and it isn't too sweet, so it vanished on the spot...
I was craving something sweet that day, and there were so many desserts I love that choosing took me forever... The drinks were a paradise of tasty things too 🤍
How to get to Café Ohkam: 5 minutes on foot from Konkuk Univ. Station Exit 2
Café Ohkam is about a 5-minute walk from Exit 2 of Konkuk Univ. Station on Line 2 🌱 Turn left at the alley by Chajiti, the café that's so hot right now, go straight, then turn right and keep walking a bit; Café Ohkam will be on your right. It's open daily 12:00–22:00, and there's no parking.
It looks like it's on the 2nd floor of the building, but you really only climb half a flight! Excluding the semi-basement, Café Ohkam uses the whole building from the 1st to the 3rd floor, and the 3rd floor is a rooftop that's lovely when the weather is nice.
Mango bingsu (shaved ice) is Café Ohkam's signature, but there's mango cake too, so if you like mango, run to Café Ohkam right now 🥭
There seemed to be a cute cat at the café too, but sadly it wasn't around when I visited 🥺 Failed to meet it in person!! 😔

1st floor: the ordering area and a few tables
The 1st floor of Café Ohkam has the ordering area, two or three four-person tables and one two-person table.
2nd floor: a seating-only space with strong air conditioning
The 2nd floor, by contrast, is all seating. The air conditioning blasts and it's super comfortable, so it looked great for visiting alone or for chatting with friends...
There are comfy sofas too, so for a short rest I think the sofa seats are the best pick!
The 2nd floor also has floor-to-ceiling windows, so sitting by the window gives you a slightly better view and that open, refreshing feeling 🌀
The 2nd floor is comfortable overall and has a great atmosphere, so if you're picking a spot at Café Ohkam, I recommend the 2nd floor ⁎ᵕᴗᵕ⁎
3rd-floor rooftop: better at night, when it's cooler than the daytime
Next up is the 3rd-floor rooftop of Café Ohkam! The weather suddenly got hot lately, so the rooftop isn't popular during the day, but it's perfect at night when it cools down.
You can get a vacation-resort vibe, and drinking coffee in the cool breeze is the absolute best, so healing 🌱

Café Ohkam has about four kinds of cake: fresh mango cake, tiramisu, Basque cheesecake and a yogurt cream sando (mango), so lots of choice!!
There were three kinds of baked goods too, so I had one for the first time in a while. I picked the financier (small almond butter cake) with Delos cookie in it!
There are also cookies you get for writing a Naver photo review, so write one review and get a delicious dessert 🎁
The desserts came out quickly after ordering, and they looked so generous and tasty that I fainted 💤

The mango in Café Ohkam's fresh mango cake is really fresh 🥭 💛 And the cream isn't too sweet?! You can keep scooping it up without it feeling heavy or getting tired of it. Highly recommended for fresh cream cake lovers 🌱
Café Ohkam's Americano isn't too strong or bitter, so it pairs perfectly with desserts... It suits my taste too, since I prefer lighter coffee 😙
The fresh mango cake on the left has really substantial layers of mango. It wasn't just topping on top; it was packed all the way inside... And on the right, the Delos cookie financier has actual Delos cookie pieces studded in it, making it even sweeter.
Who is Café Ohkam good for?
Café Ohkam near Konkuk Univ. Station is great for coming alone to enjoy dessert and coffee! It's a comfortable café, so it's also a good place for a short rest while wandering around Konkuk Univ. And it's a nice café to visit with friends for a fun chat too ⁎ᵕᴗᵕ⁎
