Gyeongju pub with sunset town wall views and mocktails: Round Two
In short
Round Two is a pub on Bukseong-ro in Gyeongju, Gyeongbuk, right in front of Gyeongju Eupseong, the old walled town. Through Round Two's floor-to-ceiling windows, Gyeongju Eupseong glows red at dusk. The visit covered the non-alcoholic Lemon Sunset cocktail (₩7,500), the signature Round Two Bam draft beer (₩7,500), a Korean-style beef cheeseburger (₩12,000) and the Special Fry platter (₩21,500), plus a look at the darts and beer pong area. For a Gyeongju night out that feels different from Hwangridan-gil, time a visit to Round Two for sunset.

Gyeongju by day is beautiful, of course, but there's a different mood when it gets dark and the sun starts to go down. (Somehow Gyeongju feels different... I'm hooked.)
Round2, where I went this time, is a pub with a great view and great atmosphere, the kind of place where you can feel what Gyeongju nights are really about. Red sunset outside the window and the grand silhouette of Gyeongju Eupseong (the old town wall) all in one frame: a one-of-a-kind, best-ever view that left me with a memory I won't forget. Here's my romantic review.
Where is Round Two in Gyeongju, and when is it open?
Round Two is a pub at 112 Bukseong-ro, 1st floor, Gyeongju, Gyeongbuk, right in front of Gyeongju Eupseong. It's open 18:00 to 02:00 and closed every Thursday. It feels like a hip pub in the middle of Gyeongju, the ultimate city of tradition.
Round Two exterior and interior
Round Two is a pub with a vintage red-brick exterior. Instead of the usual Hwangridan-gil, I was taking a casual stroll toward Gyeongju Eupseong when I found it. Ta-daa, Round2! The red brick facade gives off hip vibes already. It also looks like a good place to drink solo in Gyeongju.

Step inside and upbeat music gets you in the mood. The interior is carefully done, from the lighting to every little prop. Wait, is this really Gyeongju...?
There's also a large projector, perfect for cheering on the World Cup. And beer pong, which I only knew from American TV shows~~

Can you play darts and beer pong at Round Two?
Round Two has a dart machine and beer pong, perfect for betting with friends, so it's not just drinking but games too. (My darts skills are strange: the more I play, the lower my score gets...)

What is the sunset view of Gyeongju Eupseong like from Round Two?
The highlight of Round Two is the view of Gyeongju Eupseong right in front of you through the big window. It's a view you can only get here: red sunset, the grand town wall, a rider passing by leisurely, neon signs reflected in the glass... like a painting.
Fun music for the ears, a gorgeous view for the eyes... a whole new experience.
Round Two menu and what we ordered

Round Two sells a variety of meals and drinks. These are the four things we ordered that day.
- Signature handmade draft beer Round Two Bomb ₩7,500
- Non-alcoholic cocktail Lemon Sunset ₩7,500
- Special Fry platter ₩21,500
- Korean-style beef cheeseburger ₩12,000
Poor me, drove here and stuck with non-alcoholic...
Non-alcoholic Lemon Sunset cocktail and signature draft beer Round Two Bomb

A cool cocktail came first to wet our throats. Lemon Sunset is an appetizing red non-alcoholic cocktail with a cool lemon flavor to beat the heat. Wish I could get tipsy...

My friend ordered the signature draft beer, Round Two Bomb! Unusually, a whole lemon drip shot is dropped right into the beer. It's zestier than regular beer, so it should be perfect for summer.
The rest of our order arrived, and the table was full.

Why is the beef cheeseburger "Korean-style"?
Round Two's Korean-style beef cheeseburger (₩12,000) is juicy and full of flavor. The beef patty, full of juices, and the melted, nutty cheese look so tempting.
The moment you bite into the patty, the trapped savory juices burst in your mouth. The meat isn't ground too fine, so the chew is really there, and it has a rich, hefty beef flavor with no gamey smell at all.
I wondered why it's called "Korean-style," and I think it's because of the special bulgogi-style sauce, gently sweet and salty. That familiar yet addictive seasoning goes perfectly with the melted cheese and juicy patty, so I never got tired of it until the last bite. The soft, fluffy bun balances it well too.

Round Two Special Fry platter: what's in it and the sauces
The final word in beer snacks! Round Two's Special Fry (₩21,500) comes loaded with french fries, hash browns, cheese sticks and chicken wing drumettes, a combo that can't go wrong. It looks golden and pretty, as if fried in clean oil, and there's no greasy smell, just clean.
I started with a freshly fried, salty, stretchy cheese stick, then dunked the crispy-outside, fluffy-and-moist-inside hash browns and fries in sauce. Then the wings, chewy outside and juicy inside~ Cold, crisp draft beer just pours down your throat. A seriously irresistible snack.

It's fun to pick the sauce you like from chili, garlic and salsa. With South American blood in me, salsa is my number one!

It was there, but now it's gone.
Is Round Two in Gyeongju worth visiting?
Having a drink inside Round Two as the sun sets, looking out at Gyeongju Eupseong, feels like being an immortal. If the usual Gyeongju trip route has gotten boring, I really recommend stopping by Round Two for hip music, fun games, tasty handmade burgers and that fantastic view of Gyeongju Eupseong.
