Haeundae lunch between yoga classes: pumpkin pastry soup at Bueokgan

These days I'm off on a yoga trip every weekend, and I had some time between classes so I went for lunch at a spot on Dalmaji-gil in Haeundae. Big parking lot, warm space, delicious food — let's get into it.

Where is Bueokgan Haeundae Branch, and where do you park?

Bueokgan Haeundae Branch is on the 2nd floor of a building at 200 Dalmaji-gil 117beon-nagil, Haeundae-gu, Busan. It's open daily 11:00–21:00, with a break time from 15:00–16:30, and parking is available in the basement of the building.

Bueokgan has several branches, and I picked the Haeundae one so I could pair it with a café on Dalmaji-gil. It's popular with Busan locals for being both good value and genuinely tasty.

The parking lot is on basement level 1. The entrance is at the back of the building, with room for about 7 cars — good to know. Then I took the elevator up to the 2nd floor.

Two halls, two moods: what are the seats like at Bueokgan?

I liked that the interior of Bueokgan Haeundae Branch is split into two moods — a warm, bright hall and a moodier, more sophisticated one. Being able to pick depending on your mood is a nice touch.

There are also half-moon sofa-style seats, which looked great for coming with kids in Haeundae. Seating for two is also available, so you can eat comfortably either way. I sat in the bright section.

Set menu prices at Bueokgan Haeundae Branch

The Bueokgan Couple Dish Set is ₩51,000 for pizza + pasta + soup + salad + 2 drinks. It covers everything from appetizer to main, and it's in the low ₩50,000s — a genuinely good-value brunch for a Haeundae favorite.

On top of that, the Bueokgan Steak Set with steak included is ₩89,000. It looked perfect for three adults, or two adults plus a kid.

Beyond these, the salads, soups, pastas, pizzas, and steaks all come in different varieties, so there's something to suit both grandparents and kids.

Pastry soup, 10,000 won: a rich pumpkin flavour

The pastry soup (₩10,000) at Bueokgan Haeundae Branch warmed me up first. Cracking open the golden-baked pastry and dipping it into the pumpkin soup made it sweet and soft — really delicious.

What stood out most was the rich pumpkin flavor. They clearly didn't skimp on ingredients — it was the best pumpkin soup I've had. And it was so smooth I think kids would love it too.

Napa cabbage Caesar salad, 16,000 won

Eating vegetables first helps keep your blood sugar in check, right~ Nicely grilled napa cabbage with crispy bacon and cheese, plus a mayo dressing.

The tangy flavor and crunchy texture made it a perfect appetizer. There's always that feeling of wasting money on a salad, right? But at this Haeundae Western restaurant, even the salad felt like a proper dish, rich and satisfying.

Jambon pizza, 24,000 won: honey and pistachio sweet-and-salty

The jambon pizza (₩24,000) came piled with jambon, topped with honey and crushed pistachio. The salty jambon and sweet honey made a great sweet-and-salty combo, and the crust was baked to a nice golden brown.

Such a great Haeundae Western restaurant! Their pasta looked good too, so I'll have to come back for pasta and gnocchi next time. That wraps up my visit to Bueokgan in Haeundae.
