In short

Meono Kkameona Daehangno Branch is an Indian restaurant on the 2nd floor of Ihwa Building, a 5-minute walk from Exit 4 of Hyehwa Station in Jongno, Seoul. Two diners ordered Set B twice (₩17,000 each, ₩34,000 total), which brings green salad, chicken tikka, butter chicken curry, naan, rice and lassi, and paid ₩500 extra to swap the plain naan for garlic naan. On a day when I wanted something a little different from the usual Daehangno menu, I visited Meono Kkameona Daehangno Branch, an Indian restaurant specializing in curries. We ordered the Meono Kkameona Set B, which lets you try curry, naan, chicken tikka, and lassi all in one go. Bottom line up front: the portion was generous enough that two of us ate our fill with some left over, and above all, the butter chicken curry was genuinely delicious.

Walking in: a quick trip to India in the middle of Daehangno

Walking inside, the first impression was pretty striking. Elephant decorations, colorful lighting, vividly painted walls, a big wooden horse, and all kinds of props. "Wait, is this really Daehangno?" — that's how thoroughly they'd built the Indian atmosphere, haha.

According to the restaurant's own description, the food is cooked by an experienced local chef with 15+ years of experience, aiming to preserve authentic Indian flavors while making them comfortable for Korean palates.

How big is Meono Kkameona, and is there a high chair?

Meono Kkameona Daehangno Branch isn't just flashy decor — the space itself was surprisingly spacious. There were regular tables as well as bench-style seating, and the gaps between tables didn't feel cramped at all.

Overall it was kept clean, and as you can see in the photos, a high chair was available too. It looked like a solid choice not just for a date but for a group meal in Daehangno.

Ordering at Meono Kkameona by tapping your phone at the table

At the table, holding your phone close connects you to the ordering page. If the tag doesn't work, there's a QR code you can use instead.

This kind of ordering system has become pretty familiar these days, but it was still nice to be able to look through the menu slowly and order at your own pace.

What comes in Meono Kkameona Set B, and how much is it?

This time we ordered the Meono Kkameona Set B. It includes

Green salad + chicken tikka + curry + naan + rice + lassi

We chose butter chicken curry for the curry and garlic naan for the naan. Set B is ₩17,000, so ₩34,000 total for two, plus an extra ₩500 for upgrading to garlic naan.

Pretty hearty spread once it's all laid out, right? Even eating until we were full, two of us still had some left over — the portion was that generous.

Spicy pickled onion that reset our palate between bites of curry

Alongside the basic side dishes, we got pickles, jalapeños, and a slightly spicy-tangy pickled onion side.

The crunchy texture with a bit of spice reminded me of kimchi — good for palate cleansing in between bites, and it worked well cutting through the richness of the curry and naan.

A refreshing start: the green salad in Set B

The green salad came out first. With colorful toppings on the vegetables, it was a nice light bite before diving into the curry.

It was also good to have in between bites of the spice-heavy dishes.

Not tandoori chicken — Set B comes with chicken tikka

With its reddish color, it might look like tandoori chicken at first glance, but the item in Set B is actually chicken tikka.

Chicken tikka is typically boneless chicken marinated in yogurt and spices, then grilled.

You can see the thick, juicy meat in the photo. The spices weren't overwhelming for me, and the meat itself wasn't dry — I enjoyed it a lot.

Top pick of the day: Meono Kkameona's butter chicken curry

If I had to pick the single best item from the Meono Kkameona Set B that day, I'd say butter chicken curry without hesitation. Dipping naan deep into the creamy-looking sauce made an amazing combination.

What I especially liked was that it wasn't just a curry heavy on sauce — there was quite a lot of chicken inside too. Getting more meat with every bite of curry made a real difference in satisfaction.

Why garlic naan is the right match for butter chicken curry

The naan came out big, too. You can tell from the photo how sizeable it was. We had it as garlic naan, and the fragrant garlic aroma paired really well with the butter chicken curry.

Tearing off a piece of naan and loading it up with curry... conversation tends to slow down at this point, haha. Too busy eating.

Rice came along too, so it was fun switching things up — starting with naan and curry, then moving to rice and curry midway through.

Set B isn't finished until you drink the lassi

It would feel a bit incomplete eating Indian food without a lassi, right? Set B includes lassi too, and I found it delicious. A cool sip in between bites of spice-heavy food worked really well.

Friendly staff made the meal at Meono Kkameona easy

The staff communicated smoothly in Korean and were friendly throughout. From ordering to eating, everything went smoothly, and that added to the overall good impression alongside the food.

A Naver review event was running during our visit

When I visited, there was an event offering food based on the number of Naver reviews you wrote.

The screen said: write 1 review and get naan, write 2 reviews and get a plain lassi, write 3 reviews and get a cheese naan.

Would I go back to this Daehangno Indian restaurant? Yes

There are countless places to eat in Daehangno, but sometimes you just want something different from usual. If you're looking for Indian curry in Daehangno on one of those days, I'd strongly recommend Meono Kkameona Daehangno Branch.

I especially loved the butter chicken curry, and the garlic naan and lassi were great too. The portion was generous enough that two of us had leftovers, the restaurant was spacious and clean, and the Indian-style interior gave it the fun feeling of a mini trip abroad in the middle of Daehangno.
