Gwangjin chicken takeout for the Han River: Mr. Kim's Chicken

When you're looking around a market, there are always places whose mouthwatering smells make them impossible to just walk past—and Mr. Kim's was one of them on this trip!

Looking at the menu and display chicken

Here are the menu board and prices you've probably been most curious about! From the basics to popular combinations, there was plenty prepared, so it was easy to choose according to your taste.

All that delicious chicken lined up...!! It looked so good. Even the whole fried chickens were big, and there were gizzards too..!! Besides drumsticks, they had wings and drumettes. Such a varied menu.

What's more, the whole chickens and drumsticks are Korean-raised! Lots of people were buying them too. It must be a real local favorite~

Even their sign was so cool, haha. It says they aren't selling it cheaply—there's simply no reason for it to be expensive. Such an honest line! I liked them even more for it, haha.

Pickled chicken radish and assorted sauces are ₩500. They have cola and Chilsung Cider too~~

I liked being able to watch it made right in front of me. The oil looked clean, the batter looked incredibly crisp, and the pieces were nice and thick too! This menu item is dakgangjeong (Korean sweet-and-spicy fried chicken)! They pour the sauce over boneless fried chicken and toss it all together~~ Such skilled hands.

Packing dakgangjeong, drumsticks, and fried gizzards

I ordered these three items, then hurried straight to the Han River. Chicken means the Han River, right? It's right nearby, so off I went. I hugely recommend taking your order to the Han River!

Fried gizzards and drumsticks

These are the fried chicken gizzards! The moment I opened them, that rich, nutty fried aroma filled the air! The coating wasn't too thick and was fried beautifully crisp. Doesn't it look amazing? And the portion is huge.

Four drumsticks! They were so big and substantial. The coating was seriously crunchy!

This is the mild dakgangjeong. The portion is truly massive, hahaha. I was absolutely going to burst!! I was drooling while taking pictures because I wanted to eat it so badly.

First of all, the drumsticks were so delicious and incredibly crisp. They were piping hot and so goodㅠㅠ The meat inside was wonderfully tender too, haha. Total recommendation!

The fried gizzards! Ah, these were seriously delicious. The price was so kind, and they had exactly the flavor I wanted! They were the best fried gizzards I've ever had. Even if you skip everything else, please get the gizzardsㅠㅠ Pure chewy goodness~~

Dakgangjeong by the Han River

The dakgangjeong was totally great too~!! From now on, I only want chicken from here,, It might be better than a franchise! It absolutely gets my stamp of approval 🫠 The inside was so tender, the outside crisp, and the sauce was delicious too..

And I kept properly working through those drumsticks, haha. They tasted even sweeter by the Han River!! Recommended for drumstick lovers! The price is so kind too!! I'm definitely buying drumsticks again next time.

Finished with Chilsung Cider~! Haha. There was so much food that I was going to take the gizzards home. Truly so good among all the chicken I've eaten!!! I think I'll definitely pick some up whenever I come to Jayang~~ The weather has been getting warmer lately, which is lovely. If you visit Jayang Hangang Park, I recommend Mr. Kim's Chicken! A certified great chicken spot in Jayang-dong!!
