Today I want to talk about Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch, which I visited with my family not long ago. It was my parents' birthday, so the whole family got together, and it's surprisingly hard to find a place that satisfies everyone from the grandparents to the kids. This place kept coming up as a top spot for family gatherings in Nowon, so we went — and it was way better than I expected, so I'm leaving this record haha 😊
Where is Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch, and where do you park?
Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch is at 247 Nowon-ro, Nowon-gu, Seoul, in the Seoul Oncheon Building. The parking entrance is behind the building, so you might get a little lost on your first visit — just a heads up. Parking at Seoul Oncheon Building is free for 2 hours, which was nice and stress-free. That said, on weekends or holidays it can get crowded and parking might not go smoothly, so it's better to arrive a bit earlier then. If the lot is full, you'll need to use a nearby paid parking lot instead.
Unlimited Terra and Kelly draft beer, free with a review
What surprised me most was the draft beer. Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch doesn't serve Filite — it gives you real draft beer, Terra and Cass, for free! Just by writing a review, you get unlimited draft beer worth ₩5,900, and my dad and uncle were thrilled haha. Sushi with a cold glass of draft beer says it all. No wonder this place is also popular as a company dinner spot in Nowon.
New at Kuu Kuu: lamb chops, smoked duck and Norwegian salmon sashimi
One reason Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch stood out among Nowon sushi buffets was its new menu items.
- Norwegian fresh salmon sashimi: apparently not even available at the Kuu Kuu Gold branch. Only served for weekday dinner, weekends, and holidays.
- Smoked duck: chewy texture that goes well with pretty much anything. Also a weekday dinner, weekend, and holiday item.
- Lamb chops: tender with the distinct rich flavor of lamb. Available all day, so you can have it even at lunch.
The sushi got an upgrade too. The flounder and salmon sushi now use bigger cuts of fish, so each piece is a full mouthful, and the shrimp sushi uses botan shrimp, giving it a much deeper shrimp flavor. If you're looking for a Nowon sushi buffet, this place is worth a visit just for the sushi quality.
The kids' favorite: marble ice cream
My nephews got more excited about the marble ice cream than the sushi haha. It used to only be available for weekday dinner and weekends, but now it's available at lunch too. Perfect for taking the kids during school break lunches.
Personally, the lamb chops were the most memorable for me. Buffet meat is usually a bit tough or has a gamey smell, so I don't usually reach for it, but the lamb chops at Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch were so tender I went back for seconds. My mom had the smoked duck with salad and said it was light and delicious. I think the best thing about a buffet is that everyone in the family, with all their different tastes, can find something they love.
How many people fit in Kuu Kuu's 300-pyeong group seating?
The moment we walked in, the natural wood and white tones gave off a bright, comfortable vibe. Above all, it's over 300 pyeong, so it's really spacious and pleasant. There are independent spaces for 50, 80, and up to 300 people that can be reserved like a private hall, rooms fit 40 to 60 people, and group seating fits 14 to 200 people. It seemed like there'd be no problem hosting a large gathering or company dinner here.
Standard dining time is 2 hours, but it drops to 1 hour 30 minutes if there are people waiting. If you're going on a weekend, it's good to know this ahead of time.

Is Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch worth it for a family birthday?
The adults were happy with the draft beer, lamb chops, and fresh salmon sashimi, while the kids were thrilled with the marble ice cream — it was an enjoyable meal for everyone. The space was spacious enough that we had no trouble as a big group either. If you're looking for a good restaurant in Nowon, or trying to figure out a spot for a family gathering or company dinner, I'd definitely recommend giving Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch a try! Next time I'm planning to come back with friends for weekday dinner haha 😆
