Sadang gopchang restaurant with a no-wait cooked platter: Bareun
In short
Bareun Hwangso Gopchang is a beef gopchang (intestine) restaurant a 5-minute walk from Exit 10 of Sadang Station in Dongjak, Seoul. The assorted gopchang set costs 24,000 won per person, comes with heart added free without any gram charge, and arrives fully cooked so there is no waiting to eat; tripe, chives and a fish cake soup with bean sprouts come as standard sides, and one table was still free at 8pm on a weekday. Bareun Hwangso Gopchang is small, so it suits a small get-together rather than a big party, and it works well as an after-work meeting spot for Sadang and Isu office workers.

Where is Bareun Hwangso Gopchang, and what are its hours?
Today I went to a gopchang (beef intestine) restaurant near Sadang Station after work!
- 📍 Location | 5-minute walk from Exit 10, Sadang Station
- 🥄 Hours | Daily 16:00–24:00
- Closes 23:00 on Sundays | Closes early once beef intestines sell out
- ✨ On a weekday around 8pm, only one table was left!
The place is small with not many tables, but since there are so many office workers around Sadang Station, plenty of people who'd just finished work were there even on a weekday, haha.

Why a gopchang fan picked this Sadang Station spot
I really, really love gopchang so I go eat it all over the place! But you know how the taste can vary wildly between restaurants even though it's the same beef gopchang…
There are a lot of gopchang places that smell bad or are chewy, so I feel like I only keep going back to verified good ones ㅜㅜ It's not easy for a gopchang lover to try somewhere new..🥹
But Bareun Hwangso Gopchang near Sadang Station turned out to already be famous among office workers as a gopchang hotspot!! I visited with a friend after work, haha. The location is close to the station too, so it's easy to get to!
There are a lot of bars near Sadang Station, but there wasn't really a standout spot for drinking with a proper meal — I feel like I found a place I'll come back to often, haha.

As soon as you sit down, they set the table according to your headcount, and those wet wipes with the little talisman design are so cute ><

The standard sides: gopchang sauce, tripe, chives and fish cake soup
You get gopchang sauce, tripe, chives, and fish cake soup as standard sides! Honestly even the gopchang sauce(?) has a foundational, real flavor.
I check details like this carefully, and the tripe was nice and chewy, and when the sauce ran low, a staff member came right over and refilled it without being asked!!

The chives were spicy too, so I kept reaching for more — you know how places that aren't good start with bad chives ㅜㅜ Here, every single basic side dish was just fresh and perfectly seasoned!!!

I thought it was just fish cake soup, but there were bean sprouts underneath!! Totally touched 🥹🥹 One bottle of soju disappears just from the basic side dishes alone 🥣

Assorted gopchang, 24,000 won per person with free heart
Assorted gopchang set for one (₩24,000) — we ordered this, and the fact that they gave us heart for free without counting the gram weight was solid ✨
Usually with gopchang there's a bit of a wait before you can actually eat, but at Bareun Hwangso Gopchang everything came already fully cooked, so there was no waiting time before digging in!! And the female staff member who explained everything was really, really kind ❤️

If you take a photo, the staff will personally stir-fry it evenly for you! Even the rice cakes mixed in were delicious….
How did the daechang, makchang and gopchang taste?
📍 None of the large intestine (daechang), rectum (makchang), or gopchang were greasy or tough — they were all delicious, seriously the textbook definition of beef gopchang. Daechang in particular is a fatty food that usually gets too greasy to eat after just one or two pieces, but here, surprisingly, everything was rich yet light!

And most importantly, the gopchang was packed full of fat inside.

Next time I want to try the spicy buldak noodles too. The portions were plenty even ordered per headcount — just the right amount for office workers to have a drink after work!

Finishing with fried rice
Last but essential — the fried rice you have to order! You can add mayonnaise if that's your style. We only ordered one, and the portion was plenty.
Verdict: an after-work meeting spot for Sadang and Isu workers
📍 Overall verdict: if you work near Sadang or Isu Station, this is a great spot to meet up after work! The staff are kind and the food is unfussy and delicious, so if you're craving beef gopchang around Sadang Station, I highly recommend coming here !!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The place is a bit small, so it seems better suited for a small get-together than a large group gathering. If you have a friend who's new to gopchang, I don't think you'd regret bringing them here 👍🏻
