As soon as I ordered, kimchi and kkakdugi (cubed radish kimchi) came out first! You know how it is, with basic sides like these you immediately want a drink...? haha. It felt like I could drink with just the kimchi and kkakdugi.

They gave me a pretty whiskey glass, too, haha. Full marks for thoughtfulness.

It was my first time trying Paju soju, and it was so good! It has a grain aroma and none of that unpleasant alcohol taste. I loved it.

How was the jeyuk muchim at Dimideun Gunja?
The jeyuk muchim (₩18,000) at Dimideun Gunja is napa cabbage, onion and pork tossed in a tangy sauce. Thinly sliced pork sits on top, and the meat is piled with plenty of minari (water dropwort).

Doesn't it look like the perfect drinking snack, haha? You can almost taste the tang just by looking at it. Of course, it's probably definitely not a diet snack... I mean, dieting while drinking is impossible in the first place... but if it's tasty, that's all that matters, lol

Wrapping the pork and meat in a cabbage leaf was seriously the best! The tangy seasoning goes really well with the meat, so it works great as a drinking snack. If you're hunting for a good place in Gunja and craving a tasty meat snack, keep jeyuk muchim on your radar, haha.

The staff brought a portable burner and poured broth all over the minari brisket suyuk.

But guys... this broth is seriously insane T_T It looked creamy white and nutty, and when I actually tasted it, it was almost as nutty as milk. The broth alone beat my expectations, and I kept going back for more.

There was lots of minari in it, and it went so well with the brisket suyuk. Tender meat plus fragrant minari is a great combo, haha.

I came craving suyuk with the grease taken out, and I was happy to get this nutty broth along with it.
