Wondang animal café, chicks and Dwaeji Bar macaron: Pine Terrace

I'd been to Pine Terrace (파인테라스), the bakery café in Wondang, once before, but this time we went back at the strong request (?) of our youngest haha ^^ When the little one said, "I want to go see animals!", Pine Terrace was an easy pick, no hesitation.

The kids get to look at animals while mom and dad enjoy a relaxed cup of coffee, so we're really happy with this café 👍

What animals can you see at Pine Terrace?

At Pine Terrace in Wondang, Goyang, you can see birds like a white peacock, peacock, chickens and pheasants, plus rabbits and chicks, up close. I think the animals are the café's biggest charm!

From the white peacock to the peacock, chickens and pheasants, you can see all kinds of birds up close, and there are rabbits too, so the kids love it 🐰 The chicks were especially cute, and our youngest couldn't leave them for ages haha. It's a sight you rarely get in the city, so I think it's a good experience for kids too, haha.

Is parking easy at Pine Terrace?

Pine Terrace, the Wondang bakery café, has a large parking lot, so you can visit without parking stress. Parking really matters when you're getting around with kids, right? That's another big plus 👍

Pine Terrace has a wide variety of baked goods, and many of them show real care in every single item ^^

Pine Terrace is especially known for its fresh fruit juices, so we ordered some with high hopes!

How were the watermelon juice, gold kiwi juice and lemonade?

The watermelon juice at Pine Terrace was really sweet with a strong watermelon aroma, and our eldest enjoyed it so much 😊

The gold kiwi juice felt like a vitamin boost from the first sip! The freshness really comes through 🍋

The lemonade is made with homemade lemon syrup (lemon-cheong), so it isn't the light taste you get at a regular café. It was much deeper and richer 👍

Dwaeji Bar-shaped macaron

The Dwaeji Bar-shaped macaron (modeled on a popular Korean ice cream bar) at Pine Terrace pairs a cream cheese filling with sweet syrup, so of course the kids love it! The outside looks like a Dwaeji Bar, so it's fun to look at too, and our youngest loved it haha.

What are the interior and 2nd-floor view like?

The inside of Pine Terrace is decorated with plants everywhere ("plantierior" style), so it's great for photos 📸 The view from the 2nd floor is really pretty. It's an indoor space with a rooftop feel and the air conditioning blasts, so you can enjoy the view in the cool! I loved that you can go up without any worry even in hot weather 😊

Is it good for bringing your parents?

Seeing that not only kids but also many women in their 50s and 60s visit Pine Terrace in Wondang, I thought it's a café everyone can enjoy, whatever their age or gender 👍 It's a good spot for a family outing, and for taking your parents too.
