Paju bakery café with a 2-story waterfall and ube latte: Brick Rouge
In short
Brick Rouge (브릭루즈) is a large bakery and brunch café that occupies an entire building on Jimok-ro in Sinchon-dong, Paju, Gyeonggi. After lunch on an autumn day, the writer explored the Brick Rouge ground floor, with its artificial waterfall about two apartment floors high. The writer picked olive cheese salt bread, a ganache tart, pretzel meringue cookies and other breads, plus an ube (purple yam) latte. With a wide range of breads at modest prices, Brick Rouge is an easy Paju stop for post-meal dessert or bread shopping.

What is Brick Rouge, the big Paju café, like?

Brick Rouge parking and the ground-floor waterfall
Brick Rouge is a big Paju café with a huge building, and the parking lot is big too, so you can park at both the front and the back. It is also a handy big café near the Lotte Outlet if you want to stop by after shopping. The size of Brick Rouge in Sinchon-dong, Paju is enormous. The whole building is used as a large café and large brunch café, so each floor has its own themed interior.
I was surprised to see a motorcycle on the ground floor! There is also a vast artificial waterfall... or maybe an artificial humidifier? Water comes streaming down from the top, and it is nearly the height of two apartment floors, so it's mind-blowing.
The ground floor alone has so much to see, and the 2nd floor, 3rd floor and even the PH-floor rooftop are wide, glamorous and kept spotlessly clean. Big café Brick Rouge, wow~
How to order at Brick Rouge and the lunchtime americano discount
At the bakery café on the left side of Brick Rouge, the kiosk makes ordering very easy, and from 12:00 to 14:00 there is a ₩1,000 discount on americanos. After you order, just hold on to the vibrating buzzer and pick up your order when it goes off.

This is where orders are taken, and the menu is really varied. They have almost every brunch dish there is. The food is made on the right side, and the set menus are quietly tempting.

What breads does the Brick Rouge bakery have?
The Brick Rouge bakery has a huge variety of bread, including salt bread, loaf bread, scones, cookies and tarts, and the prices are not that expensive. Today I mostly shopped for bread. Every item is lined up neatly, and the display has a tidiness and glamour on par with a fancy hotel.
The yukjjokppang (six-piece bread) looks delicious too.

There are several kinds of salt bread as well: salt bread, soboro (streusel) salt bread, olive cheese salt bread~~

I was looking at the bread, glanced to the side, and wow, I got to see these props in person... They stretch on endlessly, like an exhibition hall of flamboyant props.
There are various loaf breads and scones too: tangzhong loaf, olive tangzhong loaf, chocolate scone, fig scone, plain scone...

Jam butter scone, blueberry scone, chewy potato bread, chewy purple sweet potato bread

There were so many tempting breads that choosing took a while, but with so many varied, delicious-looking options, picking was half the fun. Lots of the trendy breads right now were there. They're made in-house, so every bite was a joy.

With breads for meals and breads for snacking, Brick Rouge is a big bakery café in Paju you can drop into whenever you feel like buying bread. The ube latte with a tasty dessert was impressive too.

What is the 3rd floor of Brick Rouge like?
The 3rd floor of Brick Rouge is a themed space just for kids, with both indoor and outdoor areas. Each floor has its own concept and mood, and the 3rd floor was a space for children.
3rd floor outdoor area
First, the outside of the café feels like an outdoor terrace, and there is even a wooden platform pavilion (wondumak). The space is wide open and spacious, so it felt both cool and airy.
