In short

Jeong Hoedo Soul Weight is a beginner tarot card deck from Korea for learning tarot as a hobby. In a three-card reading, the interpretations felt surprisingly relevant, while the soft, easy-shuffling cards were a pleasure to handle. Soul Weight, chosen to learn tarot as a hobby

Soul Weight tarot card price information

When my mind feels stuffy, things are not going well, or I want to see whether I am compatible with someone in a relationship, I often turn to saju (Korean Four Pillars fortune reading) or tarot for fun, as a little mood-lifting activity. Saju and spirit readings seemed to require a bit of specialist knowledge, so I had never wanted to interpret or learn them, but I bought these Soul Weight tarot cards because I wanted to challenge myself to learn tarot as a hobby.

The set includes 78 Soul Weight cards, Major and Minor Arcana, blank cards, a guidebook, and sources for classes and educational materials. You can also buy the Soul Kit as a set with a spread cloth and textbook.

Tarot master Jeong Hoedo, who is well known on YouTube, planned and produced these cards, so even complete beginners can approach learning and interpreting tarot easily. It is easy and fun 🙌 I recommend these tarot cards.

Soul Weight’s premium look and grip

Let me introduce the strengths of Jeong Hoedo Soul Weight, too. When I was briefly interested in tarot before, I considered buying a deck, but the Chinese counterfeit products I saw looked poorly made and small, so I did not want one. Jeong Hoedo Soul Weight, though, has such a premium look that it really makes you want to own it.

Patterned Soul Weight box

Even the Soul Weight box had a luxurious pattern.

They say the Universal Waite design from 100 years ago has been updated with a modern 21st-century design: cleaner lines and rich, vivid contemporary colors for much more intuitive readings.

Modernly designed tarot cards

Because the look and material themselves feel premium, I think it would also make a great gift for someone who has been interested in tarot for a while. The high-quality paper is not stiff and feels soft, yet it has sturdy durability that does not seem like it will wear out quickly!

Fanning out Soul Weight tarot cards

When you see tarot cards in person, they always fan them out in a circle, so I tried copying it. They spread out so smoothly—even though it was my first time, they just fanned right out!

The grip has that satisfying, clingy feel that makes you want to keep fanning them out.

Interpreting three cards I drew myself

Fanning tarot cards for a three-card reading

Fan them out and draw three cards.

Three tarot cards drawn personally

The three things I drew pointed to choices, focus, patience, and more. Quite a few parts fit my current situation to some extent, so even though I was doing it just for fun, it was fascinating to interpret them.

I recommend tarot cards as a fun activity that feels like it could become popular, too—learn it as a hobby and read for other people, haha. There are parts that are difficult to learn as a hobby from the guidebook alone, so if you want to learn properly, I recommend subscribing to Jeong Hoedo’s YouTube channel, taking Soul Class lectures, and referring to the more detailed explanations.

My overall take for tarot beginners

It is just right for everyone from first-timers to those who want to learn more deeply. As a beginner myself, this gave me even more interest and curiosity, and it was really nice to keep as a hobby.

Still, you know it is most enjoyable when you treat the results as fun, right? I hope positive interpretations can give you a little uplifting power to improve your situation and mood.
