On weekends I like a simple sandwich, sometimes made at home, sometimes bought out, and I try to pick ones made with healthy ingredients. The filling matters, but the real heart of a sandwich is the bread, right~ This is the story of a Hannam sandwich favorite, Dance Dance Dance Hannam, where a crisp, tasty baguette and a soft, chewy ciabatta sandwich both left me satisfied, as usual.

Where is Dance Dance Dance Hannam?

Dance Dance Dance Hannam is a 10-minute walk from Exit 1 of Hannam Station, on the main road right in front of the Hannam-dong bus stop. I go to the Seoul Station branch a lot so I know it well, but this Hannam shop is the original and it was my first time there. It's on the main road, so it was easy to find.

With the bus stop right in front, access is definitely great. Maybe because the weather was nice, lots of people were enjoying their sandwiches on the outdoor terrace. Even though it's on a main road it didn't look odd, it actually looked kind of natural haha. One unusual thing: most of the customers were eating solo.

Is there a place to sit at Dance Dance Dance Hannam?

Dance Dance Dance Hannam is a takeout shop, with just a long bar table by the window that seats only 2–3 people, so it's a bit cramped. It was a weekend the day I went and the table was full, so I couldn't take a photo. Most of the people sitting there were eating alone too.

Dance Dance Dance Hannam menu and how to order

You order at Dance Dance Dance Hannam with a kiosk. On the menu there's a seasonal item with figs, which are in season in autumn, and sandwiches and baguettes are the main event, and

on top of that there are baked goods like plain scones and chocolate chip scones. The baguettes in particular come with tofu cream cheese, and the matcha and pistachio tofu cream cheese baguettes are Dance Dance Dance's signature items. The basic tofu cream cheese baguette is gone now, which was a shame ㅜ The coffee is made in collaboration with Vision Stroll, so it's good quality and tasty too.

I ordered the baguette sandwich and the egg potato sandwich, both true to the basics yet fresh. And the sandwich packaging box I now know so well!

What does the Charcutier handmade ham baguette sandwich taste like?

The Dance Dance Dance baguette sandwich has a sweet-and-sour handmade sauce on a wholegrain mustard base, with vegetables, cheese, and handmade ham from the premium charcuterie brand Charcutier. You can swap the bread for ciabatta. I felt reassured to hear they use Charcutier handmade ham, which has a high meat content and no additives or preservatives. They say Charcutier replaces the color-fixing agent with a fruit-blend extract instead of sodium nitrite.

I swapped the egg potato sandwich to ciabatta

The Dance Dance Dance egg potato sandwich is packed with soft egg mayo and gets an extra kick from strawberry jam. The bread can be swapped to ciabatta for this one too, and this time I switched it to ciabatta.

How was Dance Dance Dance Hannam?

Dance Dance Dance is a wellness sandwich shop, a healthy sandwich spot famous for chicken breast sandwiches made on baguette and ciabatta. This time I tried the back-to-basics baguette sandwich and the egg potato sandwich, and both were more satisfying than I expected. The soft, chewy ciabatta and the crisp baguette were both delicious, so I recommend trying it in both versions.
