Miraehoegwan Hannam, a pork belly spot in Hannam-dong — the pork belly is delicious, and free bibim guksu on top of that!

Choosing a pork belly restaurant in Hannam-dong
I was hunting for a good pork belly restaurant in Hannam-dong and ended up at Miraehoegwan Hannam. These days Hannam-dong has so many good restaurants and stylish spots that it's hard to decide where to go, but this place nailed both the meat quality and the value, so I left pretty satisfied.

What is the atmosphere like, and is it good for groups or a date?
Miraehoegwan Hannam had a pretty nice atmosphere too.
Given Hannam-dong's neighborhood vibe, it's a good spot for eating with friends or going on a date, and also works when you want to enjoy meat with some ambiance. It felt less like a plain neighborhood BBQ joint you go to just to fill up, and more like a place to enjoy both the meat and the mood — good for group gatherings too.

Pork belly grilled for you by the staff
When I pick a Korean BBQ place, the taste of the meat matters, but I also quietly care about how the staff grills it — here they grill it for you, so I was comfortable the whole meal.
Buying good meat and grilling it at home yourself is nice too, but honestly, whoever's grilling ends up the busiest person at the table. Constantly flipping, watching for burning, and checking on everyone else's plates too, haha.
The pork belly especially was really delicious.
Pork belly is such a common menu item that you might think it's all pretty similar, but good meat cooked properly really does make the difference. Miraehoegwan says they use top 1% domestic Korean beef and pork, dry-aged, and you could definitely taste the difference in flavor.
I also liked that all the meat here is grilled by staff who've had grilling training. At most BBQ places you start off ambitious but partway through the meat starts burning, or cooked and uncooked pieces get mixed up, haha — here the staff grills it for you, so you can just focus on eating comfortably.

How the pork belly tastes and feels
Just watching the meat hit the grill and turn golden brown made my mouth water, and one bite of the perfectly cooked pork belly gave me juicy meat with a savory flavor that hit right away.
The outside was seared golden with a slight crispiness, while the inside stayed soft and juicy — great texture. It had that signature pork belly fattiness without being too greasy, so I kept reaching for more.
I like dipping pork belly lightly in salt to taste the meat on its own first, and here it was delicious that way too, as well as with the side dishes.
Tender meat, good juiciness, rich savory flavor — the kind of taste that stays with you.
On top of that, getting a free ₩8,000 bibim guksu through the review event made the value feel even better.
Eating out in Hannam-dong these days isn't cheap, so being able to enjoy premium meat while also getting solid extras made for a genuinely satisfying meal. If you love pork belly, I think it's worth a visit at least once.

Highly recommend this spot if you're looking for good pork belly in Hannam-dong.

Next time I have meat plans in Hannam-dong, I'll probably come back here :)

If you're looking for good pork belly in Hannam-dong, Miraehoegwan Hannam gets my recommendation!
The staff handle the grilling from start to finish, so you can just sit, chat, and eat. I think that's a pretty big plus when searching for a good pork belly spot in Hannam-dong. And above all, the pork belly I had that day really stuck with me.

Free stir-fried bean sprouts with every meat order
Another thing I really liked — order meat and you get stir-fried bean sprouts free!

I honestly assumed the bean sprout stir-fry would just be a small side served before the meat arrived, but tasting it completely changed my mind, haha. The bean sprouts stayed crisp with just the right seasoning, and I kept going back for more.
Eating a bite of the bean sprout stir-fry alongside the pork belly worked really well too. Between the rich, savory pork belly, the crisp, clean bean sprouts cut through the greasiness and reset my palate each time!

It was too good to just be a free side — I'd happily pay for it as its own dish. At first I thought "oh, the bean sprout stir-fry is complimentary," but after eating it, it was just as satisfying as the bibim guksu.

The 8,000-won bibim guksu you get free for a review
And just as much as the meat, I loved the bibim guksu (spicy mixed noodles). If you visit, make sure to get this.
Write a Naver review and they'll give you a free bibim guksu worth ₩8,000. Considering how expensive eating out has gotten, getting an ₩8,000 dish through a review event feels like a real deal, doesn't it?

At some point while eating pork belly, you start craving something spicy and tangy. That's exactly the moment to bring in the bibim guksu — the combo was so good.
A bite of meat, a forkful of bibim guksu. Need I say more, haha.
Getting to really enjoy good pork belly plus solid sides made for a genuinely satisfying meal that day ♡
