Ttukseom ramen restaurant with cilantro beef cutlet ramen: Menya Pomo
In short
Menya Pomo Seoul Forest Branch is a ramen and tonkatsu restaurant on the 2nd floor of a building along Seoul Forest 4-gil in Seongdong, Seoul, about 324m from Ttukseom Station Exit 8. Visiting with her younger sibling, the writer ordered the Korean beef cutlet ramen at spice level 1 with extra cilantro, plus the Korean beef mince cutlet set, king shrimp tempura, potato croquette and real tomato salad. Menya Pomo works well when you want ramen and cutlets in one meal, and the menu is easy to share between two or more people.

Today my sister and I went to Menya Pomo Seoul Forest, a place near Seoul Forest where you can enjoy both ramen and tonkatsu haha 🥰
I usually like both ramen and tonkatsu, so I was torn on what to order 🥹 On top of that, this place also has menus using Korean beef, so I got even more curious haha. Let me show you which menu was the best from here on:)
Where is Menya Pomo Seoul Forest Branch, and what are the hours?
Menya Pomo Seoul Forest Branch is on the 2nd floor of 28 Seoul Forest 4-gil, Seongdong-gu, Seoul, about 324m from Ttukseom Station Exit 8. It's open daily from 11:00 to 20:30, with a break time from 15:30 to 17:00, and last order at 15:00 and 20:00.
No parking available on-site ❌️ please use the nearby public parking lot!

The restaurant is on the 2nd floor of the building, located in an alley with that particular charming vibe around Seoul Forest, so it was nice to look around before and after the meal 🥰

The vibe was already great from the stairs going up to the 2nd floor 🥰 There's also a blackboard where you can check the waiting order, which seemed convenient for keeping track of your turn at a glance :)

Inside Menya Pomo: tablet ordering and free steamed rice
Walking into Menya Pomo Seoul Forest Branch, the atmosphere was clean and comfortable 🥰 It didn't feel awkward to eat ramen alone here, and it also worked well for ordering multiple dishes to share :)

Water, side dishes, and rice were all set out at the restaurant 🥰 The rice in particular was free, so I liked being able to eat as much as I wanted without worrying :)

Ordering was simple via the tablet set up at the table. It was nice being able to look through the menu at my own pace and order whatever I wanted comfortably :)
- Beef mince cutlet set & beef cutlet ramen
- Real tomato salad & king shrimp tempura (2pcs) & potato croquette

Korean beef cutlet ramen at spice level 1 with extra cilantro: how was it?
First up, the dish I was most looking forward to — beef cutlet ramen! We chose spice level 1 and added cilantro on top. The spicy broth combined with the distinct aroma of cilantro worked better than I expected 🥰 The beef cutlet on top of the ramen had a great combo of crispy batter and meat, and eating it together with the ramen broth felt like a unique experience 👍🏻

What does the Korean beef mince cutlet set taste like?
The beef mince cutlet set came with a crispy cutlet as part of a full set, so it was a filling meal 🫶🏻

The savory flavor unique to Korean beef paired well with the crispy texture of the tonkatsu 😆

You could especially feel the subtle richness of the Korean beef cutlet, and dipping it in the sauce made it even tastier 👍🏻

Sides at Menya Pomo: king shrimp tempura, potato croquette and real tomato salad
The king shrimp tempura (2pcs) we ordered as a side had real shrimp inside, giving a great texture in each bite, and the potato croquette was crispy outside and soft inside, making it a great side to pair with the meal 🥰

The real tomato salad, good to eat when things get a bit greasy, had a clean flavor that paired well with the cutlet dishes 🫶🏻 If you order a lot of fried food, this is a great menu to have alongside it in between bites!

We also tried the Aesabi Zero! With apple flavor added, it had a clean taste that went well with dishes like ramen and tonkatsu. Being zero-calorie, it was easy to enjoy without any guilt :)

Is Menya Pomo Seoul Forest Branch worth a visit?
Overall, Menya Pomo Seoul Forest is a great place to visit when you want to enjoy both ramen and tonkatsu together! I especially liked having a menu like the beef cutlet ramen where you can enjoy ramen and cutlet at once, and with a variety of sides like the beef mince cutlet set, king shrimp tempura, and potato croquette, it seems like a great spot to visit with several people and share a bit of everything 🥰
