I found an okonomiyaki spot that is perfect for lunch near Seongsu Station
I went to Seongsu for the first time in ages today, you know? And guess what, there was an okonomiyaki place that was just perfect for lunch!! So of course I went straight there.

It is called Hotcho Seongsu. I happen to love okonomiyaki, and Hotcho takes the best parts of authentic Hiroshima style, adds a few spoonfuls of personality, and does it properly—teppanyaki, oh my goodness~ My partner had never tried it, so I dragged them there for an introduction, and it was good enough that they said we should come again. Great for taking someone who has never had it!

Most Japanese dishes are easy, substantial, filling, and delicious lunch choices, right? I recommend this if you are looking for a good Seongsu Station lunch restaurant for a Seongsu date! Here is my review of Hotcho Seongsu, a lunch spot near Seoul Forest, Seongsu Station, and Ttukseom Station.

What comes in Hotcho Seongsu's Signature Set for Two, and how much is it?
If there are two of you, the Signature Set for Two is the menu item to know! It includes Hotcho's Hiroshima okonomiyaki, yakisoba, and yaki gyoza, for ₩39,000.

That alone is plenty, so I think you would only need to pick drinks or something? We added just one melon soda ade. It has the kind of look and flavor a girlfriend would really love! It got sweeter as the ice cream melted. Personally, I would recommend it for couples.

Hiroshima okonomiyaki topped with a soft-cooked egg
There were two mains: okonomiyaki and yakisoba. First, the okonomiyaki was distinctive for the soft-cooked egg on top! It was packed with meat and vegetables, so every bite was full of all those juices. So, so delicious ㅜ

My partner does not like vegetables, but they ate this okonomiyaki with no hesitation. I could not believe it. It might be fun to bring kids who dislike vegetables and let them try it too, hahaha.

I broke the egg and mixed it in properly. It was sweet and savory, and with mayonnaise drizzled over it, the tang came through even more—it was simply delicious. The bean sprouts and cabbage added a crisp texture too. ★ Per-fect ★

Crispy-outside, juicy-inside yaki gyoza
It was my first time having yaki gyoza. It looked unusual from the start, and it was seriously crisp outside and full of meat juices inside—the very definition of crispy outside, juicy inside~ And that fried bit stuck to the outside...? It was sweet and crispy, and so tasty, like dipping scorched rice in sugar!

Hotcho Seongsu location and seating inside
Hotcho Seongsu, a great Seongsu Station lunch spot, is especially close if you come out of Exit 8 at Ttukseom Station or Exit 5 at Seoul Forest Station. It is behind the Seongsu 1-ga 2-dong Community Service Center, so keep that in mind when finding it.

From the exterior and entrance to the interior, the decor feels very sleek. There are two types of seating, bar tables and square tables, so you can sit wherever feels comfortable. If you like a bit of showmanship, I recommend the bar tables; if you want to talk on a date, go for a square table!

Among Seongsu Station restaurants, this is a Japanese restaurant that makes a great couples' lunch-date course.

Final thoughts
That is my review of lunch at Hotcho Seongsu, which I recommend as a restaurant near Seoul Forest, Seongsu Station, and Ttukseom Station. It was such a delicious Japanese restaurant that even my partner, trying okonomiyaki for the first time, was completely satisfied ^^ I would recommend it as a place to eat on a date in Seongsu!
