Beurre Beurre Konkuk Rodeo: how is it different from the Seongsu branch?

Beurre Beurre Konkuk University Rodeo Branch is a newly opened ice cream shop on Achasan-ro 30-gil in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul. My boyfriend and I were on a date in Konkuk after a long time and wondering where to go for dessert when we spotted it. I used to go to the Seongsu branch fairly often, but I had no idea there was one in Konkuk too. The entrance is so, so cute that it really stands out.

Why is the sign so cute too? So colorful~~ It totally fits the vibe of an ice cream shop!! The cute exterior and the good atmosphere really give it a date feeling, and I just had a feeling the ice cream would be amazing!! And since I've had Beurre Beurre a few times, I know the ice cream really is good.. haha

The ordering area seems similar to the Seongsu branch but a bit smaller, and it wasn't as crowded as Seongsu, so we could order easily and eat right away!!

Is there somewhere to sit and eat at Beurre Beurre Konkuk Rodeo?

Beurre Beurre Konkuk Rodeo has tables and chairs both inside and outside, so you can sit and enjoy your ice cream. Honestly, I drip a lot, so walking around eating ice cream stresses me out. Here you can sit comfortably, and even if you spill, you can wipe it all up with tissues~~ a huge plus!

Also, right from the entrance you can see the flavors with pictures and descriptions at a glance, so you can decide what you want before you go in!!

This is what it looks like inside. It's totally adorable here too, T_T The walls have cute ice cream characters, which were so darling, and the menu board is colorful like the outside, with red and blue mixed together, giving off a happy-virus kind of mood!!

How much is the ice cream at Beurre Beurre Konkuk Rodeo?

A single with one flavor at Beurre Beurre Konkuk Rodeo is ₩4,700, and we ordered singles. On the menu board, there were four basic hazelnut flavors.

• Six-pack, 6 flavor cups: ₩28,200

Is there anything on the menu besides ice cream?

You order on a screen at Beurre Beurre Konkuk Rodeo, where you can choose eat-in or takeout and easily browse all the flavors. Besides regular ice cream, you can order ice cream macarons, ice cream bread, and bingsu (Korean shaved ice). What surprised me was that there was a strawberry latte drink too, maybe because it's famous, haha

Sadly the cookies were sold out when we visited, but they seem to be great too. I didn't even know they sold cookies here, so I thought I should try them next time, haha

What does the "elementary schoolers' No. 1" Vanilla Choco Swing taste like?

Beurre Beurre Konkuk Rodeo kindly wrote reviews of each flavor, and it's so funny, there were things like "elementary schoolers' pick" written on them, so I could use that to help choose!! What I picked was the "elementary schoolers' No. 1" Vanilla Choco Swing. It says vanilla loaded with chocolate toppings and rich, sweet flavor so you can swing happily, lol The flavor descriptions are so, so fun haha

Choco Deep Fudge sold out, so he picked Mincho Prince

My boyfriend first chose Choco Deep Fudge, but heard it was sold out, so he went with Mincho Prince! Mincho Prince is literally mint choco ice cream, and after one bite I was really surprised. I usually enjoy mint choco, but the mint here is much, much stronger than elsewhere, so if you love the mint in mint choco, I think you'd really enjoy it.. haha It's clearly different from other places, such a surprising flavor..

As for the "elementary schoolers' No. 1" Vanilla Choco Swing I ordered: it's sweet, smooth vanilla, but with a heavier buttery aroma, which set it apart from other places. The chocolate mixed in wasn't overwhelming or hard, so it was easy to eat. I also felt a very faint caramel taste, though I think the vanilla flavor is so good that it just seems like caramel.

Would I recommend Beurre Beurre as a Konkuk date dessert?

Beurre Beurre Konkuk Rodeo was a date dessert spot where both of us wanted to come back. Photographing the two cups together was so, so cute and felt like being on a trip. Good looks really do add to the date feeling, and since the taste matches the looks, it put me in a great mood haha While eating, my boyfriend and I talked about whether we'd visit again, and since we both loved the ice cream, we both said yes!

Totally recommended for anyone looking for a new dessert or ice cream spot in Konkuk!! Lots of ice cream places seem to be popping up everywhere these days, but personally, I think Beurre Beurre ice cream is really delicious!!
