How to find Nichepogroom Suwon on the 36th floor of SK View Lake
Nichepogroom Suwon, a custom suit shop, is located on the 36th floor of the SK View Lake building. Look for the SK View Lake sign and head into the parking lot!

You need to take the high-rise elevator that goes up to the 41st floor. We didn't check properly and got on the wrong one 3 times in a row haha 🤣🤣

Jacket, shirt and shoe samples on display at Nichepogroom Suwon
As soon as you walk into Nichepogroom Suwon, you can check out suit jacket and shirt samples by design and color.

The spot for a relaxed consultation is nice and clean too ^^

There are plenty of shoe samples to check too. Photos or drawings really don't do justice to the actual product, so thanks to Nichepogroom I could see the subtle differences.

Booking-only visits and the fabric brands Nichepogroom Suwon carries
Nichepogroom, a custom suit shop in Suwon, only takes one group per time slot, so be sure to book ahead! Before the consultation really got going, they brought out drinks — americano, green tea, chamomile, Earl Grey, rooibos, water — plus light snacks haha

There are so many fabric options — Marzotto, Royal Ascot, John Cavendish, Yorkshire, Drapper, Drapers, Holland & Sherry, Dormeuil, Scabal, and more. They said there are even more beyond these. There's a full custom suit set price and a discounted wedding set too, so check the prices when you visit for a consultation haha

Wedding attire consultation for the groom: tuxedo vs suit
Then we got into the real consultation. The owner walked us through the basics of wedding attire packages in detail. Nichepogroom Suwon isn't affiliated with any wedding agency — the owner personally handles everything from start to finish privately, which makes it a bit cheaper. And unlike other shops that build everything around the bride, this is the rare shop built around the groom! Haha. Using prepared materials with comparison examples, the explanation was incredibly thorough.
(Left) Tuxedo: dark hall / (Right) Suit: bright hall
Can you spot the subtle differences in jacket shoulders, sleeves, lapels, belts, and more? Since everyone's body shape is different, there's more than one or two things to pay attention to.

From consultation to alterations, even after the wedding day
The process goes consultation → measurements → fitting → completion → alterations. Even if you know nothing about custom suits, the owner takes care of every detail from head to toe. And a big plus: Nichepogroom's custom suits can be altered even after the wedding! You usually gain weight back after the wedding is over, haha... can't let an expensive suit go to waste!

Choosing custom shirt fabric: more than 5 shades of white
This time we decided to keep it simple and just get one shirt made at Nichepogroom Suwon. Even the safest choice, white, comes in more than 5 types depending on sheerness, and even denim comes in all different shades. It was great being able to touch the sample fabrics beforehand.

It was so cool that you could even choose the collar and cuff shapes. (Isn't this like the scene in romance fantasy novels where the noble ladies get their dresses tailored...?)
Beyond denim, there were tons of patterned fabric samples too. This time we chose the darkest denim so it could double as a daily-wear shirt. When we mentioned it would be worn often, the owner recommended a thicker, less sheer fabric since frequent washing shrinks the size. Honestly, even knowing nothing, you can just trust the owner and go with it!

How detailed is the measuring? Neck and wrist included
With the fabric chosen, it was time for sizing! I expected simple measurements like shoulders and waist, but they measured the wrist, neck circumference, and more with real precision — discussing collar button style, whether pockets should be on both sides of the chest or just one, length differences depending on whether it's tucked in or worn out, and they even said a waist dart could be added 🤣🤣
Two weeks to make, picked up in person at Nichepogroom Suwon
Since it's a custom order at Nichepogroom Suwon, production takes about 2 weeks and pickup has to be done in person! I haven't picked mine up yet, so I'll update with the finished result as soon as I do!
