Ethiopia Geisha hand-drip coffee at a Namwon café: Coffee Bean G1

In short

Coffee Bean G1 is a specialty hand-drip coffee shop on Sicheongdong-ro near Namwon City Hall. The writer tried the Ethiopia Geisha Natural iced hand-drip for ₩9,000 and a maesil (plum) ade for ₩6,000, enjoying the fragrant, clean acidity, at a spot that roasts and sells its own beans. With a spacious interior and big tables, it's a great Namwon café for coffee lovers and groups.

With such a wide variety of beans, coffee lovers will be very satisfied here.

Hand-drip coffee is what they're known for, but they also have Dutch coffee, tea, ade, fruit juice, and herbal tea. It's actually surprising that there's no espresso machine coffee at all.

Ethiopia Geisha hand-drip and plum ade — the taste

I ordered a specialty iced hand-drip coffee. I picked the Ethiopia Geisha bean — since it was described as having deep, ripe berry flavor and vivid fruit aroma, and I love coffee with acidity, that was my pick right away! The aroma was really lovely and the taste was clean, which I liked a lot.

The plum ade felt like a cool, non-carbonated plum tea — exactly the kind of thing you'd drink to help digestion after a meal. It wasn't too sweet, so it was delicious.

Overall verdict

A Namwon hand-drip coffee spot with a great variety of beans. The café is spacious with plenty of seats, making it a good Namwon café for groups. A place coffee lovers will be genuinely satisfied with.
