Red-brick Daegu café at Dongchon Resort for brunch: Hands Coffee

The weather has been so nice lately, right? I came out to Dongchon Resort and stumbled on a café with a great mood, so I'm sharing it with you. Hands Coffee is a franchise, but the Dongchon Resort Branch is so big and atmospheric that it felt like an ordinary large independent café.

What does Hands Coffee Dongchon Resort Branch look like from outside?

The red-brick exterior of Hands Coffee Dongchon Resort Branch really stands out. The bricks are stacked with a nice three-dimensional feel, so the building looks neat and stylish at once.

The building against the blue sky looks vivid even in the photo. Near the entrance, a Hands Coffee sign runs along the brick wall. With exposed concrete meeting brick, it was a first impression that made me curious about the inside. There's also a brunch information board at the entrance, handy to check before you go in.

Inside Hands Coffee Dongchon Resort Branch: atmosphere and seating

Inside, the ceiling is open and high, and the concrete texture is left exposed. Black frames running along the ceiling and long hanging lights make it a space with real character. The paintings on the walls and the warm lighting add a cozy feel to a space that could otherwise look cold.

Big window sofa seats and wooden tables

The seats by the big windows caught my eye even in the photos. Sunlight pours in and makes the whole interior look brighter. By the windows there were brown sofa seats with low tables. There were also separate spots with wooden chairs and tables. Each seating area feels a little different, so the café's mood probably changes depending on where you sit.

How much is the Hands House brunch set, and what's included?

The menu at Hands Coffee Dongchon Resort Branch listed the Hands House brunch set separately. It's one Hands House brunch plate plus two long blacks, and the price shown in the photo is ₩24,900! The menu photo was taken at the time of my visit, so please double-check with the café when you actually order.

Since drinks are bundled in, it's worth comparing with ordering items separately if you plan to have brunch.

What comes on the Hands House brunch plate?

The Hands House brunch came with salad, bread and scrambled eggs together on one plate. The first thing I noticed was the colorful salad. Green leaves, cherry tomatoes and red and yellow bell peppers made the plate look extra full. I could also see purple vegetables and olives, with thin shreds of cheese on top, so it looked really appetizing.

On one side were bite-size slices of bread and yellow scrambled eggs. It's a menu where you get salad, bread and eggs all on one plate. In the drink photo you can see an iced coffee and a drink topped with fruit pieces, and they looked great next to the brunch.
