In short
Sin Yeongung Cheonggukjang Haemulttukbaegi Seongseo Moda Outlet branch is a Korean restaurant near Moda Outlet in Dalseo, Daegu. I visited Sin Yeongung Cheonggukjang Haemulttukbaegi Seongseo Moda Outlet branch (신영웅청국장해물뚝배기 성서모다아울렛점) for weekend lunch with a friend. It is near Moda Outlet in Dalseo-gu, Daegu, making it a convenient spot to pair with shopping before or after a meal.

Is parking convenient when visiting by car?
We drove there, and there was parking space in front of the restaurant as well as a public parking lot behind it. We were able to visit comfortably without worrying about parking that day.

The restaurant is on the first floor at 27 Seongseogongdan-ro 15-gil, Dalseo-gu, Daegu, South Korea. The original post lists hours as 10:00–22:00 daily, with a break from 15:30–17:00 and last orders at 21:20.

Are there seats for solo diners or groups?
Even though we arrived a little late for lunch, there were many customers. The interior was more spacious than I expected and kept clean, and the tables were fairly well spaced, so we did not feel too close to neighboring diners.

Along with regular tables, there were private rooms for groups and seats for people dining alone. We ate as a pair, but the seating arrangement seemed suitable for family gatherings or group meals as well.

How did we order Haemul Hanpan Boiling for two?
After looking over the menu, we chose the medium Haemul Hanpan Boiling (a seafood boil). We could choose spicy, regular, or mild, and we ordered the regular spice level.

After we ordered, side dishes including salad, seokbakji (cubed radish kimchi), and braised fish cake came out first. They were good accompaniments while eating the seafood.

How were the seafood, portion size, and regular spice level?
When the food arrived, the first thing I noticed was a large whole octopus. A staff member cut it up for us so that it was easier to eat, and we did not need to prepare it ourselves.

Besides the octopus, it included scallops, shrimp, blue crab, mussels, and corn. The medium size was more than enough for the two of us.

The regular spice level we chose was not overwhelmingly hot, and the seafood worked well with the seasoning. Each ingredient, such as the octopus, shrimp, and blue crab, had a different texture, so it was fun picking through them. We used the plastic gloves provided when eating the blue crab, which helped keep the seasoning off our hands.

There was also quite a lot of roe and milt. They are ingredients I usually enjoy, so I picked them out to eat, and they went well with the broth.

It also included noodle add-ins. After eating a good amount of seafood, the noodles made the meal feel even more filling.

How was the added fried rice?
We were fairly full after the seafood and noodles, but we wanted to use up the remaining seasoning, so we added fried rice. They stir-fried the rice in the sauce and finished it with a generous topping of crushed seaweed.

The rice had absorbed the flavor of the sauce well, and the crushed seaweed made it savory. Even after having plenty of seafood, we kept reaching for the fried rice and finished the meal feeling full.

What stayed with me most from this meal was being able to pick from several kinds of seafood at once. It was convenient to visit by car, and the table spacing was comfortable, so it seemed like a decent option for a meal with a friend near Moda Outlet.
