Indeogwon rooftop bar with gizzards and roomy tables: Dalbitgwangjang
In short
Dalbitgwangjang (달빛광장) is a rooftop pub in Indeogwon, Anyang, about a 3-minute walk from Indeogwon Station Exit 4. On a cool autumn evening at the Dalbitgwangjang rooftop, the writer had chicken gizzards and half-and-half chicken; the salty gizzards with chili peppers and the crispy fried chicken stood out. Dalbitgwangjang suits anyone who wants a relaxed beer at widely spaced outdoor tables.

The weather has turned cool lately, which is perfect for a cold beer outdoors! I heard there's a rooftop pub with a great vibe in Indeogwon, so I went straight to Dalbitgwangjang (달빛광장), haha. The atmosphere was lovely and the food was delicious too, so I was really satisfied! I can't believe Anyang has a place like this… 🥹🤍
Where is Dalbitgwangjang, and is it easy to find?

Dalbitgwangjang is about a 3-minute walk from Exit 4 of Indeogwon Station. It is open Sun–Thu 17:00–02:00 and Fri–Sat 17:00–04:00. It's close to the station so it's easy to get to, and you can spot the "Rooftop Hof" (hof = Korean-style beer pub) sign from far away, which got me excited before I even went in, haha.

Here's a cute Jinro toad (the soju brand's mascot) I met on the way up! Little touches like this fit the pub vibe so well, lol.
Dalbitgwangjang's 2nd-floor indoor seating and dart machine

Besides the rooftop, Dalbitgwangjang also has indoor seating on the 2nd floor. The space itself is fairly large and has sofa seats too, so it looks comfortable! One side has a dart machine, and they also sell marble ice cream. Coming with friends to play darts and eat ice cream sounds even more fun, haha. But the weather was so nice that day that we headed up to the rooftop for the outdoor seats (yajang, open-air drinking spot)! 💛
Dalbitgwangjang's rooftop yajang: are the tables spaced far apart?

The rooftop is an open outdoor space, so the view spreads out the moment you arrive. Why is the atmosphere this good… 🥹 With a cool breeze blowing, it was the perfect mood for a beer.

Personally, what I liked most about Dalbitgwangjang was the table spacing! Outdoor pubs often pack tables close together so you end up right next to the neighbors, but the rooftop here has the seats laid out generously, so it didn't feel cramped and was comfortable~! It was also great for chatting with my companion without any rush, haha.

The restroom is on the 2nd floor! It was kept clean, so it was pleasant to use! 👍
What's on the Dalbitgwangjang menu?

The menu has chicken, pizza, pasta and a variety of side dishes. Drinks range from regular soju and beer to highballs! It looked good for a light drink or a hearty spread of food. After some deliberation, we ordered half-and-half chicken and gizzards (dduncjip, stir-fried chicken gizzards)!

After we ordered, puffed rice crackers (ppeongtwigi) came out as the complimentary snack! You can't come to a hof without a basic snack like this, haha.
How do the gizzards at Dalbitgwangjang taste?

The gizzards were moderately salty, and the spicy chili peppers mixed in were the kick. They came out first, stir-fried golden brown, and looked really appetizing from the start.

Taking a bite, the seasoning wasn't too strong, just nicely salty! I liked the chewy texture gizzards are known for, and the spicy chili peppers scattered through were the real kick, lol. The chili cut through what could have been a greasy, fried taste, so I kept reaching for more. The seasoning and texture were both good, so they were perfect with beer! 🍻
Dalbitgwangjang's half-and-half chicken: fried or seasoned?

Personally, the fried half was better, and the seasoned (yangnyeom, sweet-spicy sauce) half was sweet enough for anyone to like. While we were eating the gizzards, the half-and-half chicken we'd been waiting for finally arrived, and the savory smell spread right away. It made my mouth water… 🤤

I tried the fried chicken first, and personally I thought it was better! They must fry it really well, because the coating wasn't too thick and was crunchy! The chicken inside was tender and juicy, and it went nicely with the coating, haha. I tried the seasoned chicken too! The sauce wasn't overly strong, just sweet, so it's a flavor anyone would enjoy.

With a nice rooftop atmosphere and tasty food, the beer just kept going down, haha. Eating chicken and gizzards together in the cool autumn breeze, I thought, this is the charm of yajang! Thanks for the meal today!~💚😍
