Nampo-dong date night bar in Busan: kitchen-grilled Maedalgu, Budan
In short
Budan Nampo Branch (부단 남포점) is a Korean gastropub on Gwangbok-ro in Nampo-dong, Busan, opened after Budan's Seomyeon and Gwangalli locations. At Budan Nampo Branch, the signature Maedalgu (33,000 won) of daechang (beef large intestine) and chicken neck arrives fully grilled from the kitchen, so no smoke smell clings to your clothes; it was paired with ramyeon cream rice and honey butter fries. For a dimly lit date spot that also has plenty of room for groups, Budan Nampo Branch is a good fit.

[Nampo-dong bar recommendation] A hot spot with a crazy good snack combo! Daechang + chicken neck + Buldak at Budan Nampo Branch 🤍

When you meet friends or go on a date in Nampo-dong, isn't it surprisingly hard to find a bar with a good mood and genuinely tasty food?

Budan (부단) is already famous for its waiting lines in Seomyeon and Gwangalli, and when I heard it had landed in Nampo-dong too, I, Shuni, rushed over! Here is my honest visit review of this Nampo-dong bar in Busan that competes on flavor and friendly service. ✨
Where is Budan Nampo Branch, and how late is it open?
Budan Nampo Branch is at 6 Gwangbok-ro, Jung-gu, Busan, 289 m from Exit 3 of Jagalchi Station. Just head up to the 2nd floor of the Miryang Dwaeji Gukbap (pork soup rice) building. It's close to the station, so it's really easy to reach even if you're on foot.
- Sun–Thu: 17:00–02:00 (last order 01:00)
- Fri–Sat: 17:00–04:00 (last order 03:00)
- On weekends it's open until a whopping 4 a.m.!
Budan Nampo Branch atmosphere: good for dates or group nights out?

The interior is pleasantly dark with soft lighting, which makes it a perfect mood for a date! It's also huge with plenty of tables, so even a big weekend group fits comfortably, and it felt airy.

Complimentary snack: toasted bread with whipped cream
The free side dish passed the test the moment we sat down! Crispy toasted bread comes with sweet whipped cream, and you keep dipping into it before the main dishes arrive until it's suddenly gone, a magical little starter. 😆 Here's everything we demolished at Budan that day!

What is Budan's signature Maedalgu (₩33,000)?
Maedalgu is ₩33,000 and Budan's signature! It's tender daechang (beef intestines), smoky chicken neck, chili peppers and Buldak (fire chicken) instant noodles, all topped with a bomb of cheese. The meat comes fully grilled from the kitchen, so I could dig in right away without worrying about the smell sticking to my clothes!

My number-one pick was the chicken neck in the Maedalgu. Not dry at all, super tender, and perfectly sweet-salty seasoned. Truly a drink thief (a dish that makes the booze disappear).

The daechang was great too, with a rich, fatty nuttiness that pops the moment it hits your mouth.

Wrap the Buldak noodles around stretchy cheese and eat them with the meat. That spicy, punchy flavor melts the stress away!

How were the ramyeon cream rice (₩9,000) and honey butter fries (₩8,000)?
The ramyeon cream rice is ₩9,000: thick, creamy ramyeon with moist rice mixed in. I worried a cream base would be heavy, but the richness vanished and only the nutty flavor remained, making it the perfect partner to cool down the spiciness of the Maedalgu.

The fries are ₩8,000. Crispy fries come generously dusted with sweet and salty honey butter seasoning. A great supporting actor to pick at one by one when you're already full!
Best combo to order at Budan: Maedalgu + ramyeon cream rice

At Budan, [Maedalgu + ramyeon cream rice] isn't an option, it's a required formula! When your mouth starts burning from the spicy chicken neck and Buldak noodles, take a spoonful of the thick, nutty ramyeon cream rice. The heat settles right down and you can keep going endlessly with that spicy-nutty combo 🤍
Budan Nampo Branch: honest pros and cons
👍 What I liked
- The daechang and chicken neck come fully grilled so you can eat right away, and the can't-go-wrong combo of cheese and Buldak is fantastic!
- The lighting is dim and the mood is great, so it's perfect as a Nampo-dong date bar.
- The place is huge and comfortable, good enough for group gatherings and company dinners too.
🥲 Downsides and things to know
The Maedalgu has Buldak noodles and chili peppers in it, so it may be a little spicy for those with low spice tolerance! In that case, do what I did and pair it with the ramyeon cream rice to tone down the heat.
Who should visit Budan Nampo Branch?

- Anyone looking for a Nampo-dong bar for a date under moody dim lighting with high-quality snacks
- Anyone looking for a hot spot where punchy, tasty dishes like daechang, chicken neck and Buldak noodles make the drinks go down easy
- Anyone looking for a Nampo-dong bar in Busan for a weekend group gathering in a spacious, comfortable space without worrying about waiting
Budan Nampo Branch nails both the quality of the food and the mood. If you're in Nampo-dong, stop by once and fall for the charm of the Maedalgu 🤍
