These days, when I look for somewhere to have brunch in Daegu, there are so many pretty cafés and places selling delicious menus.

This time, I visited Dento, a new brunch café in Daegu. ✨ Rather than the usual sandwiches I see all the time, I especially wanted to try something a little different. At Dento, I ordered no fewer than five bite-size open sandwiches along with drip coffee. 🥪☕

To give you the conclusion first, it was such a satisfying place: everything looked pretty and tasted great. More than anything, it was fun to compare five flavors little by little instead of eating just one kind of sandwich. 💜
A New Brunch Café Near Banwoldang

Dento, which I visited this time, was a café with an atmosphere that would suit anyone looking for brunch or sandwiches in Daegu.

I thought it was particularly worth noticing if you have plans around Banwoldang or are looking for a light meal near Bongsan-dong. 👀

For me, the charm of a great brunch spot near Banwoldang is being able to enjoy the food’s visuals and the atmosphere, rather than simply filling up. Dento was highly satisfying in that respect too. It felt like a wonderful place for a day when you want pretty brunch dishes alongside your coffee, rather than just one cup at a café. 🌿

Bite-Size Open Sandwiches That Were Even More Fun
The greatest appeal of the open sandwiches I had at Dento was definitely getting to experience so many flavors at once. The ingredients ranged from pan con tomate (tomato-topped bread) to avocado and salmon, grilled vegetables, shrimp, and truffle ricotta. With every bite, it was fun wondering, “What will this one taste like?” 😋

Usually, you eat a large sandwich in just one flavor, but enjoying these like bite-size finger food made the whole brunch experience feel more special. The plating was also beautiful, so they were perfect for photos. 📸💕 I think Dento’s open sandwiches would suit anyone searching for sandwiches in Bongsan-dong and wanting something a little more unusual than the standard option.
① Pan con Tomate

The first menu item I tried was pan con tomate. Centered on the fresh flavor of tomato, it was a relatively clean way to begin the lineup. 🍅
② Avocado Salmon and ③ Romesco Grilled Vegetables
Second was the avocado salmon, which especially caught my eye. I already love the avocado-and-salmon combination in brunch dishes, so I had high expectations. 🥑 The soft avocado and salmon came together for a rich, smooth flavor. Being bite-sized meant I could enjoy the ingredients without any heaviness, and its colors looked especially pretty in photos. 📸✨
Third was the romesco grilled vegetables. This one offered a flavor in a different direction from the earlier dishes. The characteristic flavor of grilled vegetables and romesco sauce made it a combination that vegetable lovers would enjoy trying.
④ Shrimp Rémoulade and ⑤ Truffle Ricotta
Fourth was shrimp rémoulade! With shrimp in it, this was a dish where I could enjoy that savory seafood depth. 🍤 It was nice to taste the combination of shrimp and sauce in one bite of open sandwich. Personally, I love sampling lots of flavors little by little, so I really liked this format itself.
Last was truffle ricotta. 🤎 I was looking forward to it from the name alone, with that truffle-and-ricotta combination. The truffle aroma joined ricotta’s soft, nutty character, giving it a different charm from the dishes I had before.

Among the five, its aroma was particularly memorable, making it a nice one to finish with. Trying all five in order, each had such a distinct personality that it never got boring. 🥪✨
A Place with Truly Delicious Drip Coffee
And surprisingly, the drip coffee was one of the things that stayed with me most. ☕️ Of course coffee goes well with brunch, but the drip coffee I had that day had such a genuinely good flavor from the beans themselves.
The coffee’s flavor was lovely, and with the open sandwiches, it felt as though it neatly refreshed the palate between bites. If you consider coffee just as important as food when choosing a brunch café, I think this part will be satisfying too. 🤎
If You’re Looking for a Different Kind of Brunch
If you are looking for a new café near Banwoldang these days, I think Dento is worth visiting at least once. Especially if you usually enjoy sandwiches or brunch and are searching for a new brunch café near Banwoldang Station, the slightly distinctive menu selection is a real advantage. It would be great to visit with a friend and share different flavors, or on a day when you want a light brunch. 🥪🌿

And because the food arrives so beautifully presented, taking photos was fun too. If you want to enjoy pretty plating along with delicious food, I think you will be very satisfied.

Personally, my intention to return is 100%. 💯✨ I was satisfied enough that I already want to try other menu items next time. If you are looking for brunch around Banwoldang, want to visit a new café, or would like to experience unusual open sandwiches, I think you can add Dento to your list. With beautiful visuals, varied flavors, and delicious drip coffee all together, I’m already looking forward to my next visit. 💜
