The floor-to-ceiling glass wrapping around the corner of the building's first floor caught my eye right away. The black frame, high ceiling, and simple PAUN COFFEE logo came together for a sleek yet calm atmosphere! Through the glass, a green view naturally comes into sight, making it a nice spot to sit back and enjoy a coffee. It felt open rather than cramped, so it'd suit anyone looking for a place with a good view. It's also a good stop if you're looking for a café near GTX Unjeong Jungang Station or near Unjeong Starfield — I'd recommend it as a date spot or a dessert stop during an outing in Unjeong.

Is there parking at Pound Coffee in Unjeong?

There's parking space in front of Pound Coffee, but since it's a mixed-use commercial building, the space isn't very generous. The sign at the store also notes that the parking is reserved for Pound Coffee customers, and if you're heading to the nearby health park or other outside facilities after your visit, you're asked to move your car.

Basically a place where you go in just for coffee and end up standing in front of the pastry case debating your order for way too long, haha.

First, I tried Pound Coffee's vanilla plain financier! The outside was baked to a golden brown with a nice nutty aroma, and cutting it in half revealed a moist, soft texture inside. One bite brought out the rich buttery flavor with a subtle hint of vanilla, the kind of taste that naturally calls for coffee! It wasn't overly sweet, so it was easy to alternate bites with the iced americano, and being true to the basics made it oddly hard to stop reaching for.

And then there was the matcha soboro financier, which caught my eye visually right away! Cutting it in half revealed a deep, vivid green matcha color. The moist, rich matcha flavor combined with the nutty, crunchy texture of the soboro topping on top made for a genuinely fun bite. Matcha's signature bitterness balanced out the sweetness nicely, and it paired really well with the iced americano too.
