Large Suwon bagel café: garlic baguette & Orangecano at Orange Bagel
In short
Orange Bagel is a large New York-style bagel bakery café on Omokcheon-ro in Gwonseon-gu, Suwon, Gyeonggi. The blogger chose Orange Bagel's Deep Choco Bagel to compare with the trendy choco baguette, and also tried the garlic baguette and the signature Orangecano drink. The Deep Choco Bagel's chewy texture and rich, less-sweet-than-expected chocolate filling make it satisfying in a different way from a choco baguette.

Orange Bagel, a great bakery in Suwon, holds up even next to the choco baguette
I was looking for a big café in Suwon and found a place with good parking and bread that looked delicious, so I went. Turns out it's a great bakery in Suwon! ^^ It's called Orange Bagel, a bakery café that specializes in bagels. And the choco baguette is all over social media right now, right? So I went to compare it with a Suwon choco baguette too.
Orange Bagel in Suwon: is it easy to find and park?
Orange Bagel is a red-brick building on Omokcheon-ro in Suwon's Gwonseon-gu, and the parking lot is big, so it's easy to get to by car. The phrase "A TASTE of NEW YORK in EVERY BITE" catches your eye right away on the red brick.

You can see the ORANGE BAGEL sign from far away, so it's really easy to find.

The parking lot is wide, so no stress about bringing a car.

What is the atmosphere like inside Orange Bagel?
The store has a New York bakery concept, and the mood changes from floor to floor and even from area to area on the same floor. When you open the door, it really feels like a bakery somewhere in New York, and I was surprised. The American flag, Statue of Liberty miniatures and vintage props bring the New York details to life. It's fun to look around, and the interior is great for photos ^^
Each floor has a different look, and even on one floor the concept changes by area, so I'd suggest taking a quick stroll around first and then picking a seat that suits you.
It's full of New York charm, and there are several big tables too, so this large Suwon café is perfect for group gatherings :)
Which bagels does Orange Bagel sell, and how much are they?
At the Orange Bagel display, the double cream bagel was ₩7,600 and the scallion bagel with scallion and bacon was ₩8,500. Okay, shall we check out the bagels? Seeing the shelves piled high with every kind, the happy dilemma of what to pick first begins.

The double cream bagel, packed with thick cream, looks so good you just want to take a big bite, haha. Doesn't it look delicious? It's ₩7,600.

The scallion bagel, stuffed with scallion and bacon, is a popular signature item. This one is ₩8,500~

There's also pepperoni, mocha bun, caprese tomato, blueberry, cranberry, laugen (German lye bread), olive and more. The bagels transform in so many ways that just browsing is fun at this Suwon bakery!

There were also lots of mild(?) bagels that look easy for kids to eat, haha. So many things looked tasty that I spent a lot of time browsing and choosing~ haha

What makes Orange Bagel's dough different?
Orange Bagel kneads high-protein Canadian flour and flavorful French flour in its own secret ratio, which they say makes the dough more springy and chewy.

They also say they pay close attention to aging and fermentation and stick to traditional baking methods. No wonder it's called a great Suwon bakery, right? haha

How is the Deep Choco Bagel packed for takeout?
Orange Bagel packed the Deep Choco Bagel in a container that keeps the bread from getting squished. As I mentioned at the start, the choco baguette is popular lately, and I wanted to compare a Suwon choco baguette, so I picked the Deep Choco Bagel~
I thought it would be good for the kids, so I got one to go too ^^

Because it came in a container that doesn't squash the bread, I carried it home safely(?) haha

The whole bagel is chocolate-colored, half of it is covered in chocolate, and chocolate chips sit on top~

I ordered two kinds, the Deep Choco Bagel and garlic, and both were insanely good~ ^^

What does Orangecano, Orange Bagel's signature drink, taste like?
Orangecano is Orange Bagel's signature drink: a clean-tasting mix of orange and coffee flavors with orange bits you can chew. I don't usually drink coffee, but since it's the signature I was curious and ordered it~ It's a really original drink! You chew on orange bits, and I loved the clean taste!

How does Orange Bagel's garlic baguette taste?
Orange Bagel's garlic baguette felt like eating the famous yukjjok maneul bread (six-clove garlic bread). It was tasty, just as I expected~ A crowd-pleasing flavor that nobody will split opinions on, you could say? ^^ A no-fail choice!

Deep Choco Bagel vs choco baguette: how do they compare?
Orange Bagel's Deep Choco Bagel has chewy cocoa dough with chocolate chips and a rich chocolate filling, and it wasn't as sweet as I expected. Today's star, the Deep Choco Bagel, is itself a deep cocoa brown, a look that will make any chocolate lover's heart skip~

Cut in half, it looks like this~ Chocolate chips are studded between layers of chewy chocolate dough, and one side has a thick chocolate filling. It has a different charm from the trendy choco baguette: the bagel's signature chewiness combined with deep chocolate flavor.
The chocolate filling inside isn't very sweet either~! I really don't like things too sweet, and this wasn't as sweet as I expected, so I could enjoy it without worry! And the bagel is chewy, so chewing it is fun~ I could eat it with peace of mind(?) lol, and it's plain enough that I kept wanting more of this Suwon bagel. As you'd expect from a great Suwon bakery, it felt high-class.
The trendy choco baguette's charm is crispy-outside, moist-inside texture and the sweet-and-salty combo, while Orange Bagel's Deep Choco Bagel wins with its chewy texture plus rich chocolate filling. Both are heaven for chocolate lovers, but personally I was more satisfied when the bagel's chewiness met the chocolate filling.
Why Orange Bagel is a large café in Suwon worth visiting
If you're looking for a large bakery café in Suwon, I recommend Orange Bagel. There's lots of variety and the atmosphere is perfect, so I think it works for a date or an outing too. And if you like the trendy choco baguette, definitely try the Deep Choco Bagel comparison.
