Korean set meal for three in Gumi Jinpyeong-dong: Imgane Nakji Bossam
In short
Imgane Nakji Bossam is a Korean restaurant serving octopus and bossam (boiled pork) in an alley off Indong 26-gil in Jinpyeong-dong, Gumi. Three of us ordered three servings of the Imgane Set at 17,000 won per person, which came with flame-grilled spicy octopus, herbal boiled pork, abalone porridge and mukbap (chilled acorn jelly soup), and we left completely stuffed. Imgane Nakji Bossam is a good-value choice for family meals or group dinners when everyone wants octopus and bossam on one table.

Imgane Nakji Bossam
Hi, I'm Sagongju, living for style and taste!
I found this place while looking for a Gumi Jinpyeong-dong restaurant after a long while, and it also seemed like a great lunch spot in Indong. Imgane Nakji Bossam let us enjoy octopus and bossam (boiled pork wrap) at a great price 🐙
Located at 43-3 Indong 26-gil, 1F, Gumi-si, Gyeongsangbuk-do!

Where Imgane Nakji Bossam is and what the restaurant feels like
Walking through the alleys of Gumi's Jinpyeong-dong, Imgane Nakji Bossam was easy to spot thanks to its big sign.

The menu is right there on the sign, so you can tell from a distance it's a nakji bossam (octopus and boiled pork) place!

The restaurant is spacious with plenty of tables, so it seems great for family meals or group dinners too.

It had that comfortable, no-fuss neighborhood Korean restaurant vibe, perfect for sitting down to a solid meal.

The tables were spaced generously, which made both chatting and eating comfortable 💬

The water was barley tea, and it had that nice nutty taste 🫗

Frying your own egg while the food comes out
While waiting for our order, we got to fry our own eggs, which kept us entertained.

One egg per person, and ₩500 for an extra 🥚
I'm a soft-yolk person, so I put my heart into frying it just right 🍳
The side spread: abalone porridge to mukbap
Imgane Nakji Bossam brings out the side dishes first, and everything came out looking clean and well put together.
⟨ Abalone porridge ⟩ We started with porridge as an appetizer.
It was nutty and soft, so it seemed fine to bring kids here too!

Cabbage salad, bean sprouts, japchae (glass noodle stir-fry), young radish kimchi — every side dish was seasoned just right.
The japchae especially got the most chopsticks reaching for it, haha

Mukbap (acorn jelly soup) and various sauces also came out.
The mukbap had plenty of chewy yet soft acorn jelly, and before I knew it I'd finished a whole bowl spoonful by spoonful. The tangy, refreshing broth cleansed the palate nicely and was easy to sip between bites 〰︎︎
They also gave us sesame oil and seaweed flakes for mixing into rice.

What the Imgane Set includes: grilled octopus, herbal pork and rice
⟨ Imgane Set ⟩ Pan-fried octopus, herbal boiled pork, and rice come out generously on one table. *Available for 2 or more people

Getting to enjoy octopus stir-fry and boiled pork together felt like such a great-value combo 〰︎︎

How mild is the flame-grilled octopus?
⟨ Pan-fried octopus ⟩ You can pick the spice level, so we went with mild!

It came already cut into bite-sized pieces, and there was so much of it that the three of us ate until we were completely stuffed.
The octopus was springy and never tough, with a chewy texture that came alive the more you chewed 🐙
The rice came in a big bowl, perfect for mixing 🍚
They topped it with the soft-yolk egg we'd fried earlier.

I piled on plenty of octopus and mixed it all into the rice.

The slightly spicy seasoning really got the appetite going — total rice thief.

Herbal boiled pork with garlic sauce
⟨ Herbal boiled pork ⟩ Comes with cabbage and radish kimchi to wrap it in.
The meat had a glossy sheen that looked tender just from looking at it.

The meat had a subtle herbal aroma, no gamey smell, and a clean, light flavor ◡̈

Dipping it in the salted seafood that came alongside added a savory, salty depth!

This garlic sauce was a real gem — sharp and slightly sweet, and it paired perfectly with the boiled pork 🧄

Wrapping it neatly in the cabbage that came with it made this the perfect spot for dinner with a drink!

Is Imgane Nakji Bossam worth it?
Piling octopus on top of the bossam made the texture even richer, and the combination worked really well. Getting to enjoy octopus and bossam together made for a hearty meal, and if you're looking for a great-value dish, I'd recommend giving Imgane Nakji Bossam a visit!
