Sejong Italian restaurant revisit: gorgonzola apple pizza, Olibus

A place you keep thinking about is a real good restaurant. Today's place is Olibus Italian Restaurant in Eojin-dong, Sejong, and this is my second visit. The food was so good the first time that I told myself, "Next time I'll try other dishes," and now I finally got the chance to go back. To give you the conclusion first: it was satisfying again.

What is Olibus in Eojin-dong, Sejong like inside?

Olibus Italian Restaurant Eojin-dong Flagship sits on a main road in Eojin-dong, Sejong. It's an Italian restaurant that has been loved in the neighborhood for a long time.

The red awning catches your eye, and the inside is a clean, comfortable space with white-toned interior.

It's relaxed enough for a date, a family meal or a get-together with friends.

A repeat Sejong Sarang Restaurant (Sejong Love Restaurant) pick

There's a Blue Ribbon sticker on the window at Olibus. It has been chosen as a Sejong Love Restaurant (Sejongsarang Maetjip) several times since 2019. It made me think there's a reason it has been loved for so long.

What we ordered on our second visit to Olibus

For this return trip to Olibus, I chose the ink risotto, the steak cream risotto and the gorgonzola apple pizza. All three looked wonderful from the first glance.

My daughter fell in love with the cute little honey pot that came with the gorgonzola apple pizza, haha!

Ink risotto with big pieces of octopus and shrimp

Doesn't the Olibus ink risotto look so appetizing, with big pieces of octopus and shrimp on top of the black squid-ink risotto? The octopus was tender and the shrimp was springy.

The deep flavor that's typical of squid ink wasn't overwhelming, and a little squeeze of lemon made it even fresher. It had a nice smoky, fire-grilled taste too. If you like seafood, you'll be very happy with this one.

Steak cream risotto: rich but not greasy

The Olibus steak cream risotto has a thick cut of steak on top of a rich cream risotto, with plenty of cheese grated over it, and the flavor was really good.

The meat was tender, and the cream sauce was rich but not greasy, so I enjoyed it to the very last bite.

How are the service and upkeep at Olibus?

The staff at Olibus were friendly, and the food came out relatively quickly.

The restaurant is kept neat and clean, which put me in a good mood the whole meal.

Is Olibus still worth it on a second visit?

Sometimes a place that was great once disappoints you the next time, but Olibus was satisfying on the second visit too. You can enjoy pasta, risotto and steak, so it suits a date, a family meal or an anniversary dinner.

If you're looking for an Italian restaurant with a nice atmosphere in Sejong, it's worth a visit.
