500-day anniversary Korean beef course in Gongdeok, Seoul: Usu

Usu is an all-private-room Korean beef (hanwoo) restaurant in Gongdeok, Mapo, Seoul, on basement level 2 of the Lotte Castle President commercial building right outside Gongdeok Station Exit 2. For a 500-day anniversary date the writer ordered the Dinner B course at Usu, which ran from ugye jinjuk (rich chicken and beef porridge) and four bite-sized dishes to yukhoe gamtae rolls, tteokgalbi with abalone gardenia noodles and a 1++ sirloin grill served with a full rice-and-soup spread; mentioning the anniversary brought sparkling wine, a dessert and a commemorative photo. Usu suits anniversaries and family introduction meals where you want a quiet room and a long, unhurried dinner.
