Gwangalli brunch café, trip with Mom & pumpkin soup: Working Holiday
In short
Working Holiday Millak is a brunch café with a Gwangan Bridge view on the 7th floor of the Badamaru building on Millaksubyeon-ro in Suyeong, Busan. On a weekday morning, day 3 of a Busan trip, the writer and Mom ordered a panuozzo and a chicken avocado sandwich with pumpkin soup and orange juice; the two praised the pumpkin soup about 10 times, and two sandwiches were enough to fill two people. For a Gwangalli brunch with both an ocean view and good food, Working Holiday Millak is a solid pick.

Where is Working Holiday Millak in Gwangalli?
Working Holiday Millak is a Gwangalli brunch café on the 7th floor of Badamaru, 29 Millaksubyeon-ro, Suyeong-gu, Busan. It is open daily from 09:00 to 22:30.

It was day 3 of our Busan trip. We'd had pork soup (dwaeji gukbap), grilled eel (kkomjangeo), seafood, all of it delicious, but I was craving a good sandwich and brunch. "Is there a great brunch place somewhere?" I wondered, and found this spot with a great view and great food in Gwangalli! I went to Working Holiday Millak, the hot place in Gwangalli. It's a Gwangalli brunch café with a gorgeous Gwangan Bridge view.

The view was lovely, but the cozy, stylish atmosphere inside was just as good! Here's my honest review~

How to order and what's on the menu at Working Holiday Millak
You order at Working Holiday Millak with the kiosk at the entrance. There's a wide range of pizza, pasta, sandwiches and drinks, so even if your tastes differ or you each want something different, it's an easy place to visit.

Italian pizza is the main thing here, and they recommend it! I only noticed after ordering, so sadly I didn't get a pizza T_T

What is the atmosphere and interior like at Working Holiday Millak?
The moment you step into Working Holiday Millak, the Gwangalli Beach view spreads out before you, and it's so pretty, isn't it?! The interior is lovely too... I'd recommend it as a Busan or Gwangalli date spot as well!

It's an open kitchen, so you can sneak a peek at the food being made, and it's kept so clean that you can eat with confidence! haha If the kiosk is hard to use, you can order from the staff at the open kitchen. All the staff were so friendly, which put me in a good mood~!

Isn't the interior so pretty?? It's totally my style, and honestly I liked the interior even more than the ocean view haha. The mix of colors, wood and lighting feels calming and lovely...
Weekday morning window seats with a sea view from almost everywhere
I visited Working Holiday Millak on a weekday morning, so I could eat in a relaxed way. Quite a few window seats were still free, and we ate peacefully looking outside haha

At the Gwangalli brunch café Working Holiday Millak, you can see the sea from almost every seat. Even if it's not a window seat, the sea is easy to see! The place is spacious too, so you can visit without worrying about seats.

How do the panuozzo, chicken avocado sandwich and pumpkin soup taste?
We ordered a panuozzo, a chicken avocado sandwich + soup, plus orange juice and Coke Zero. The panuozzo is a sandwich made with pizza dough, and the chicken avocado sandwich has grilled chicken and creamy avocado.

For the chicken avocado sandwich you can choose soup or salad when ordering. The panuozzo had no option to choose, so I guess soup comes by default. Working Holiday Millak is great for soup, so definitely order the soup!! It's a pumpkin soup in a slightly rough, rustic style. Eating with Mom, I think we said "this soup is so good" at least 10 times lol

I wanted something refreshing, so I ordered orange juice, and it tastes like rich, real orange juice. It goes so well with the sandwiches that I recommend this combo!

Generous portions: two sandwiches filled two people
The panuozzo especially is huge. We shared the panuozzo and the chicken avocado sandwich, and two of us ate until we were really full. Okay, we left a little T_T That's how generous the portions are!

It was my first time trying a panuozzo. Since it's pizza dough, it's chewy yet thin and nutty. It's packed with arugula, other vegetables and ham, so the flavor is rich too. It's a taste I personally love, so I kept reaching for it.

If the panuozzo had the saltiness of ham, the chicken avocado sandwich has the clean, mild taste of chicken and avocado. A comparatively healthy flavor!

The sandwiches look as good as they taste. A morning of eating pretty sandwiches with an ocean view in a pretty café... I'm truly happy.

Why Working Holiday Millak is a great Gwangalli ocean-view brunch with Mom
Eating well in such a relaxed atmosphere made me think, "I'm so glad we came to Busan~" haha Busan has so many cafés and so many good restaurants, but it's not easy to find a café with an ocean view and tasty food. Honestly, Working Holiday Millak is a brunch café I'll definitely visit again. Saved in my heart... If you're looking for a Gwangalli brunch café or a Gwangalli ocean-view café, I recommend visiting Working Holiday Millak~
