Why we looked for a hanok gomtang restaurant in Hongdae
It had been ages since I'd had proper Korean food, what with travel and everything else — and then one day I suddenly craved something hot and soupy, and something spicy too. Eating Korean food when you go out isn't exactly common these days, but if you want it, you go get it, right? Haha.
Hongdae is mostly full of restaurants, cafes and bars that cater to younger crowds, so when I heard there was a place with a quiet hanok (traditional Korean house) interior serving gomtang (clear beef bone soup) and Pyongyang naengmyeon (cold buckwheat noodles), my wife and I had to check it out. We had dinner at Anok, known as a go-to spot for gomtang and Pyongyang naengmyeon in Hongdae.
How to get to Anok from Hongik University Station, and parking
