In short
Geumseong Hoegwan Hapjeong Main Branch is a pork barbecue restaurant on Yanghwa-ro 6-gil, between Hapjeong and Sangsu stations in Mapo, Seoul. The Dwaeji Hangeun Set (₩55,000) brings moksal (pork neck) and bon-samgyeop (pork belly) together, and the staff grill everything at the table so diners can keep talking. Today I want to write about Geumseong Hoegwan Hapjeong Main Branch, a great spot to visit when you're craving good meat in Hapjeong. There are so many good restaurants in Hapjeong that it's hard to decide where to go, but this time we headed to Geumseong Hoegwan, where you can enjoy both samgyeopsal (pork belly) and moksal (pork neck) together.
We ordered one of Geumseong Hoegwan's signature menus, the Dwaeji Hangeun Set. I usually like pork in general, but this time one cut really stood out to me — the moksal! Honestly, it might be the best moksal I've had recently. Such a satisfying meal. ❤️
So let me walk you through Geumseong Hoegwan Hapjeong Main Branch's location, menu, prices, and how the Dwaeji Hangeun Set actually tasted.

Where is Geumseong Hoegwan Hapjeong Main Branch, and what are its hours and parking?
Geumseong Hoegwan Hapjeong Main Branch is a BBQ restaurant located on Yanghwa-ro 6-gil in Mapo-gu, Seoul. The address is 78 Yanghwa-ro 6-gil, 1F, Mapo-gu, Seoul, South Korea. It sits between Hapjeong and Sangsu stations, so it's a convenient option not just for Hapjeong but also for anyone looking for a meal near Sangsu or Hongdae.
📍According to the online store listing, hours are currently 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM daily. That said, hours or closures may change on the day, so if you're planning a late visit, it's worth calling ahead to check.
As for parking, it is available, but since parking space in Hapjeong is generally limited restaurant by restaurant, I'd recommend calling ahead to check availability before you go. 🚗

Geumseong Hoegwan menu and prices: pork neck, pork belly and Hanwoo beef
Geumseong Hoegwan Hapjeong Main Branch offers not just pork but also beef and rice dishes. Here are the main menu items and prices listed online. The Dwaeji Hangeun Set is ₩55,000.
- Galbi Bon-Samgyeop 200g — ₩19,000
- 1% Moksal (pork neck) 180g — ₩17,000

🍖 What we ordered: the ₩55,000 Dwaeji Hangeun Set
This time we ordered the Dwaeji Hangeun Set. It's set up so you can enjoy moksal and bon-samgyeop together. I liked that instead of eating just one cut, you get to compare the flavors of two different cuts. When the meat arrives, of course the first thing you notice is the thickness and condition of the cuts.
Pork's texture and flavor really change depending on how it's grilled, so the grilling process felt important too. At Geumseong Hoegwan, staff grill the meat for you, so instead of worrying about the grill, you can focus on the meal and the conversation — that's honestly one of the best parts!

🥓 What comes with the Dwaeji Hangeun Set: pork belly and pork neck together
The advantage of the Dwaeji Hangeun Set is being able to try moksal and samgyeopsal together. Comparing different textures and flavors instead of sticking to just one cut makes the meal more enjoyable. It also felt like a convenient choice for a group where one person prefers samgyeopsal and another prefers moksal.

This seems especially useful for anyone in Hapjeong planning dinner with friends or a group gathering, looking for a menu that's good for sharing among several people.

⭐ The best moksal (pork neck) I've eaten recently
What I was most impressed with at this meal was the moksal. Usually when you go to a samgyeopsal restaurant, you expect the samgyeopsal to be the star. And yes, the samgyeopsal was delicious too, honestly it's hard to pick a winner between them 😋

Moksal can turn dry if it's grilled wrong, so it matters a lot when the meat's own flavor and texture come through well. This time's moksal was especially satisfying, and while eating it I kept thinking, 'this moksal is really good.'

Of course taste is subjective, but if you're someone who usually likes moksal, this is a menu worth checking out. If I visit again, I'd want to order the moksal all over again. 😊

💛 Final verdict on Geumseong Hoegwan Hapjeong Main Branch
At Geumseong Hoegwan Hapjeong Main Branch, the Dwaeji Hangeun Set let us enjoy moksal and samgyeopsal together. Personally, the moksal was what stuck with me the most — it might be the best moksal I've had recently, and this meal reminded me all over again how good moksal can be.
If you're looking for a place to eat samgyeopsal or moksal in Hapjeong, Geumseong Hoegwan Hapjeong Main Branch is worth adding to your list. Especially if you love moksal like I do, the Dwaeji Hangeun Set is a good way to enjoy both cuts at once. Next time I visit, I'll probably order the moksal again. 🥰
