It's fall now, so I wanted something that felt like the season! I debated where to go and ended up at Naeil Didi (내일디디), an Apgujeong salon famous for nude-tone nails!

I bite my nails — can I still get nails done?
When I visited Naeil Didi, my nails were pretty messy since it had been a while since my last set was removed 😓 Honestly, part of why I get my nails done is to stop myself from biting them! It'd been a while since my last removal so my nails were a mess ㅜㅜ

What kind of nail salon is Naeil Didi?
Naeil Didi in Apgujeong is known for wedding nails, and this month's art design was so pretty,,, They also only use genuine Swarovski parts — even the color looked different — which made me trust the place even more.

Lots of regulars and brides-to-be actually come here, so I heard wedding nail and extension clients are especially common! The person getting nails done at the same time as me was also getting extensions!

One really thoughtful detail at Naeil Didi is the phone stand at each seat, so you can comfortably watch YouTube or Shorts while getting your nails done. Great spot for introverts too 😉

Syrup nails vs. magnetic nails — how I picked my fall color
I went back and forth between syrup nails and magnetic nails at Naeil Didi, and ended up choosing cocoa syrup nails. I agonized over it for so long ㅋㅋㅋㅋ The nail artist helped me pick, and when I said I wanted a color that makes my hands look whiter, she kindly told me that a certain shade would actually make my hands look darker, and gave me really thoughtful advice like that ㅎㅎ

Since it's fall, this kind of tone really appealed to me! A bit gray, a bit brown...

This color is so pretty too… I'm naturally drawn to muted tones ㅎㅎ I love that this kind of tone is trending right now ☺️

Among all these muted tones, I decided on cocoa syrup nails as the most autumn-appropriate shade! Plus my friends recommended it too.

The process at Naeil Didi: from nutrient base to top gel finish
Naeil Didi carefully examined my nail condition during the basic care step, and to minimize damage, used a nutrient base gel instead of a regular base product from the very start! From the care stage through cuticle cleanup, even though my nails were already quite bitten down, she didn't draw a single drop of blood, there was no pain at all, and everything was shaped neatly and delicately 🤤
Every color I was considering got tested
I agonized over colors for so long that she tested every single shade I was torn between! A lot of places limit how many test colors you can try,,, and I totally get it when there are other reservations lined up, but Naeil Didi really let me test as many as I wanted, which I was so grateful for — thanks to that I was able to pick a color I truly loved!
Top gel and overlay — the key to how long it lasts
When it came to the final top gel, this is honestly where durability makes or breaks a manicure,,, She paid close attention to the overlay too, carefully coating the surface and edges with real precision ><

The steam towel that comes out of a rice cooker
At the end she finished up with a steam towel. This part was hilarious ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

The steam towel comes out of a rice cooker??? Even the nail artist said she was surprised and thought it was such a clever idea the first time she saw it ㅎㅎㅎㅎ

How did the cocoa syrup nails turn out?
The cocoa syrup color I got at Naeil Didi makes my hands look whiter and cleaner, and I'm so satisfied. Honestly, for days before the appointment I kept saying I'd go with a cocoa color, but I always end up getting pink pink nails every time, so I was wavering again this time too,,, But she picked a cocoa shade that really suits my skin tone, and my hands look whiter, cleaner, and I just love it.

I've been staring at my nails all day lately 🤍 Places with great reviews and lots of regulars really do earn it for a reason!!!
My nails have been getting weaker lately and I was worried about that, but between the nutrient care from the start and the perfect-for-fall cocoa syrup nails, it was such a satisfying experience overall! Thanks to the meticulous finishing that locks in durability too, I feel genuinely happy every time I look at my nails. Nails really are the best mood booster >< If you've been looking for a place that's great at wedding nails or clean extensions, I say give Naeil Didi in Apgujeong a try for a real mood reset 🤍
