In short
Boseung Hoegwan Bangi Branch is a 24-hour gukbap (Korean soup with rice) restaurant in the Bangi-dong food alley in Songpa, Seoul. Lunch here was three dishes ordered at once — pork bone hangover soup, hangover ramyeon, and fire-grilled pork — with the bone soup piled with ugeoji (outer cabbage leaves) and big meaty bones, and the ramyeon holding sundae (blood sausage) and boiled pork. What is the dining room like at Boseung Hoegwan Bangi Branch?

The overall vibe at Boseung Hoegwan Bangi Branch was clean and comfortable. There were plenty of solo diners, along with families and coworkers eating together. The tables were spaced generously apart, so it was comfortable to eat whether alone or in a group. True to its reputation as a Bangi-dong go-to spot, customers kept streaming in even during lunch hour.

What we ordered this time was pork bone hangover soup, hangover ramyeon, and fire-grilled pork. As a filling lunch combo, it was really satisfying.
How do the pork bone soup, hangover ramyeon and fire-grilled pork taste?

The first dish to arrive was the pork bone hangover soup, so we started there. The deeply simmered broth had rich flavor, and it was loaded with napa cabbage and big chunks of bone — just looking at it made me feel full already. One spoonful in and my stomach instantly felt settled, haha.

It really reminded me that gukbap is a menu that never disappoints. The meat was boiled until tender and pulled apart easily, and eating it with the broth made for a genuinely satisfying meal.

We also ordered the hangover ramyeon this time, and thanks to its spicy yet rich broth, I kept going back for more.

I thought a ramyeon would be a light dish, but with sundae and boiled pork thrown in, it was hearty enough to work as a full lunch! The fire-grilled pork we ordered alongside was also really tasty. There was a gentle smokiness to it, and the meat was tender — pairing it with the gukbap was a great combination.

It also went well with rice, making the meal even more filling.
What else is on the menu besides gukbap?
Above all, Boseung Hoegwan had a really wide-ranging menu. Beyond various gukbap options like sundae gukbap, boiled pork gukbap, and pork bone hangover soup, they also had pork bone stew, sundae and tripe hot pot, assorted boiled pork, mung bean pancake, and seafood scallion pancake — a place great for both a meal and drinks.

So it seemed well-suited for family meals, gatherings with friends, and work dinners alike. I also liked that they use fresh ingredients. The broth was clean yet deeply flavorful, and every dish felt made with care — living up to its name as a Bangi-dong go-to spot. If you want a filling lunch, or just a day when you want to warm up your stomach, I think you'd be really satisfied here.
