A bowl of Super Protein Poke

The weather has gotten so pleasantly cool! Enjoying this lovely autumn weather, I went out for a healthy, delicious, protein-packed Super Protein Poke for a work lunch.

Super Protein Poke for a work lunch

The portion was generous and every ingredient was fresh, so I’d like to recommend Ola Poke to Gangnam Station office workers looking for a healthy lunch.

Where’s good for a solo salad meal near Gangnam Station?

I’m sure every office worker feels this way, but lunchtime is my little healing time during the workday. So at lunch, I try to eat alone when I can and have something tasty.

Today, I wanted something lighter and healthier rather than anything too heavy. So I looked up salads for solo dining near Gangnam Station and visited Ola Poke Gangnam.

It’s near Exit 4 of Gangnam Station. It was in a location that Gangnam Station office workers should try at least once.

Seating at Ola Poke Gangnam

The restaurant had tables for two and four, plus a bar counter that was great for solo dining. It was the perfect setup for coming alone for a meal. Maybe that’s why there were lots of people eating by themselves, too.

That’s because the solo-dining counter is long, and it even has phone stands. This restaurant was incredibly considerate—you can watch YouTube while you eat.

The menu I had today was the Super Protein Poke. It’s a light meal that lets you get protein, carbohydrates, and fiber, too!

Poke with half salad and half brown rice

One thing I especially liked about Ola Poke was that you can choose salad, buckwheat noodles, or rice on its own, or mix salad and rice in just the right ratio. I chose half salad and half brown rice.

You can also choose your sauce and all the ingredients, but I just went with the recommended menu, haha. An office worker who doesn’t want to use her brain even while eating 😅

The ordered Super Protein Poke

My order came out faster than I expected. I waited less than five minutes. It was also served in such a generous, filling portion. It was a meal loaded with protein-rich ingredients including salmon, chicken breast, chickpeas, and avocado.

Poke with salmon and chicken breast

I drizzled on a little of the recommended sauce. Sauces can be surprisingly high in calories. If you’re dieting, use just a little sauce, haha.

I gave it a proper shake-shake. As people who love bibimbap (mixed rice), we do have to mix it up a bit, haha. A bite of oat rice with salmon was nutty and incredibly delicious.

Thick slices of perfectly ripe avocado

I really love avocado, and this avocado was cut into thick slices. It was perfectly ripened, too, so it practically melted in my mouth.

At salad and sandwich places, avocado can sometimes be sliced too thinly or not ripened properly, but Ola Poke’s avocado ripeness was excellent!

Whenever I got a little tired of the rice, I picked up the salad with my fork and munched away. It was crisp, fresh, and delicious.

It’s not easy for office workers in modern society to make a meal with balanced carbs, protein, and fat, but at Ola Poke Gangnam, you can have a healthy meal that feels as if a nutritionist planned it.
