What kind of restaurant is Pyu Euljiro?
Pyu Euljiro (PHEW) is a large contemporary dining restaurant, which is rare in Euljiro~ There are lots of eateries in Euljiro, but proper dining places are hard to find. Then I heard a new dining spot called Pyu had opened not long ago, so I went to check it out~
Just like the "phew~" we let out when we breathe a sigh of relief, Pyu offers ritual dining where you can lower your guard, slowly savor aromas and soothe your stomach with something warm, haha. So I visited with even higher expectations!!
How to get to Pyu Euljiro: Exit 9 of Euljiro 3-ga Station
Pyu Euljiro is near Exit 9 of Euljiro 3-ga Station, and it's only a short walk from Chungmuro Station too, so it's very easy to get to, haha.

Pyu Euljiro's atmosphere and interior
This is the exterior of Pyu Euljiro~ Even though it's inside a building, it's white-toned, super clean and feels wonderfully open~

And this is the inside~ It's totally clean and calm, yet so spacious that it felt like a dining bar in its own standalone building??!

Don't the displayed flowers and plants give off such a luxurious vibe?? The natural scent and gentle warmth of the ingredients that Pyu aims for seemed to refresh my tired body and mind, haha.

What's in the Pyu Euljiro share set?
The Pyu Euljiro share set is a course meal of fresh salad, bisque pasta, charcoal-grilled octopus with romesco, crispy eggplant fritters and four-season ice cream~ Looking at the menu, I wanted to eat in a course-meal style, so I ordered the share set~

Outside the window there were upright plants, and the table had neat cutlery, so I could eat in a comfortable, calm atmosphere~

Fresh salad
The first dish of the share set was the fresh salad~ Wow.. the salad was so fresh... I could taste the crispness of the vegetables the moment I ate it!!

Bisque pasta
Next was the bisque pasta!! It's a pasta that captures the scent of the sea, with a richly simmered shrimp sauce topped with an elegant champagne foam~ Wow... the deep savory flavor of the shrimp sauce hit me right away!! The shrimp were so plump too, and I finished it in a flash!!

Adding a Neomsabyeok IPA
Partway through the bisque pasta I decided I just couldn't go on without a beer, so I ordered an IPA called Nubsabeok (넘사벽, "out of reach")~ They say it's a world-champion craft beer that has won 16 awards at international beer competitions~ Wow... it's very rich, with plenty of hop aromas like citrus, grapefruit and pine needles, and the balance of sweetness and bitterness was so good, haha.

Main: charcoal-grilled octopus with romesco
Next was the main, charcoal-grilled octopus with romesco~ Grilled octopus full of charcoal aroma, paired with a spicy romesco sauce, and it was so delicious T_T The octopus wasn't tough at all and just melted in my mouth T_T_T And the romesco went so well with the grilled octopus that all I could do was exclaim in delight T_T

Crispy fried eggplant
The next dish was crispy eggplant fritters!! Eggplant fried crisp on the outside, dipped in a rich, nutty fish cream sauce!! Wow T_T_T the eggplant fritters were the best fried food I've ever had T_T_T
The fritters weren't greasy at all, totally fresh and crunchy, and the sauce was completely different from any sauce I'd tried before and so delicious T_T The eggplant melted softly in my mouth, so much that I wasn't sure whether I was even eating fried food T_T Truly, literally crispy outside and moist inside T_T

Dessert: seasonal tomato basil ice cream
The last dessert of the share set was the four-season ice cream~ This season's flavor was tomato basil~ It was so refreshing, with a really clear tomato and basil flavor, perfect as a palate cleanser!!
Is Pyu Euljiro worth a return visit?
I kept exclaiming in delight during the meal at Pyu Euljiro, and I was so satisfied afterward that the feeling is still lingering even while writing this post!!! I'll definitely come back again on a good day, 100% planning a revisit!!
